I'm starting the box with some soaps from my den. It will be 4-5 nice quality soaps to start. The boxes won't be big.
@PLAla I'd love to get in on this soap pass around. Very generous of you to box up you soaps and send them out for others to try. I'm in. Thank you very much. Ken P
The box is on its way to @dustmite! I pulled from my den and came up with a few interesting selections. (Sorry for the sub-par pic). All of regular-sized soaps are 100% except for the Barrister & Mann, which is probably 50%. Again, if you like one please take it and replace with another one. Add to the box if you'd like! This was all I could spare at the moment. I packed these in a medium flat-rate Priority box with LOTS of room to spare. I had to crumple up a good bit of paper to take up room. The small box was too small. After @dustmite checks out the items for a week or so it will go to @twhite. Thanks everyone and looking forward to a fun pass-around!
Thanks for the offer! I would rather just keep this to a soap pass-around for the first venture. We could possibly expand on another volume of the pass-around if there's interest.
Yes, the Sudsy Citrus and Bay smells fantastic! Let us know your impressions when you've used it or any of the soaps!
Sudsy Citrus & Bay Red Tip with a new Feather Vulfix Pure Bristle Florida Water I was able to get a great lather worked up, and it lasted for 3 passes and touch-ups. Not sure if my technique improved, my water changed, or if it speaks for the soap, but I am definitely back in the soap game. The lather from my second pass... My youngest daughter approved of the smell. I got a BBS with no problems, and my face feels fantastic. Can't wait until tomorrow!
I used the Barrister & Mann Bay Rum today, with a Vulfix Super Badger and Schick injector. This is excellent soap! Nice fluffy lather, and super slick. The scent is very much like Dominica BR, which I used post shave. I'm the only one in my house who enjoys the BR smell, so it won't make me popular at home, but I am definitely going to check out some other B&M soaps. Great stuff.
Today's shave: The Col. Conk has a very intriguing scent, citrus and mild spice with something else underneath I can't quite put my finger on. Lathered well, but tended to dry a bit quickly. Still got a DFS, just had to be a little faster than normal. Next up is the Maggard. I think I'm going to pass on the Tennessee Whisker, the smell reminds me of kindergarten paste...
