So, I fully intended to try the Maggard, but I couldn't ignore the siren song of the Barrister & Mann. Another wonderful shaving experience, I will definitely be picking some of this up for myself. I will be packing it up and shipping to @twhite in the morning. I didn't add anything to the box, but I'd like to thank @PLAla once again for sharing, and hope everyone down the line enjoys this as much as I have.

I am excited to try some new soaps. This will be fun. The hard part will be trying to pick the first one to try. I am thinking of just blindly grabbing from the box for the first one.

@dustmite Did you end up keeping any of the soaps and replacing with some of yours? Or did you send on the original box?

I just sent the box on as I got it. I'm just getting back into the soaps and creams part, and don't have much as of now.

Ok I opened the goodie box. Here is what I found. [IMG]
I did not look and picked my first soap. After that, proceeded ti smell each one. My take on each, sniff test only at this point.
Conk Southwestern Sun. A very nice citrusy smell. It reminds me of something from my past, but I cannot put my finger on it.

B&M Bay Rum. This is my favorite for smell. As I love Bay Rums. This will be the perfect soap to pair with my VIBR AS. I REALLY want to try this first, but it is not to be. It was not the first one I grabbed.

The Sudsy Soapery Citrus & Bay
Another fine smelling soap. The first note is the citrus then a nice subtle bay scent. This will go nicely with one of my other Bay AS Ogolalla peppercorn and lime. Not to be my first soap ether.

Northern moss. It is a very mild scent to me. I think it has a cedar scent. I will need to lather it up and hopefully get more notes. Very nice scent from what I can tell

    Tennessee Whisker Cederwood
My first up. This had a very nice Cedar scent to it. If I had to say. This and the northern moss have very similar scents. I will pair this up with some AS that I made from a local scent store. It is a tobacco and sandalwood combo.

I will report back after my shave later today

Thank you @PLAla for the opportunity to try out your soaps.

    Soap 1 in the books.

I will mainly review the soap.
    Setup
The Single Edge razor using a cutdown Feather (3)
Brush WD Synthetic 24mm I chose this as my synthetics are the easiest to make a good lather.
    Soap: Tennessee Whisker Cedarwood

As stated before this has a nice cedar scent. When lathering (I face lather) I loaded the brush for a good 10 to 15 seconds. I proceeded to start my lather building on my cheeks. It did not take long maybe 30 t0 45 seconds to start getting a nice consistent lather going. All the while enjoying the scent. It is a nice relaxing scent to me. After getting the lather to my liking, I put some between my fingers just to make sure it was nice and slick. It sure was and it had pretty decent cushion. On to the shave.

Today I chose to do only 2 passes both ATG as my shave yesterday was so good. Taking nice short strokes the soap did not disappoint me. It provided the protection needed. The second lathering and the soap on my brush held up just fine. No vanishing lather with this soap.

My post shave face rubbing to was a pleasure. The Shea and Coconut in the soap left my face nice and most feeling. No drying at all. I used the Tobacco AS and it smells great.

This is a nice soap, it will be one I consider to keep. But only the next 4 shaves will tell.

Awesome review, Tom! I always felt the Tennessee soap smelled cedary but also smoky. I have the matching bath soap in that scent. It's interesting.

If you or anyone in the pass-around keeps the Tennessee soap or the Col Conk then I have matching aftershaves for them. I have a lotion after shave for the Conk and a splash for the Tennessee. I'll be happy to send them to you if you keep the soap.

I look forward to more of your reviews and opinions.

    Soap #2
    [IMG]
Today I chose B&M Bay Rum
This has a very nice and strong Bay Rum scent. This I like a lot. I chose my Black Badger brush today, and found that the B&M loaded the brush nicely. The lather built up quickly.
Proceeded with the first pass and found that this is a really slick soap. the blade slid over my face wonderfully slicing the whiskers away. The second pass was just as good.

By the time I started lathering for my third pass I did need to wet the tip of my brush a bit. No fault of the soap as I made it a bit to dry. It recharged with no effort. Finished my shave and applied my AS.

Feeling my face 30 minutes after shaving.I found that my face was not as moist feeling as yesterdays. Still a great shave. Just an observation.
