Ob1page, Thanks for breaking down the box into those photos. That looks Heavenly!!! To coin Field of Dreams,'Hey, Is this heaven?'
With 30+ samples I made that my rotation! My shave reset timer is 24-36 hours giving me less than 30 opportunities per month. Haven't stuck strictly to the samples - some of my recently acquired soaps were calling.

Mystic Waters Shea Butter & Lanolin Omega Pro #10098 boar brush Weck Sextoblade and Personna 1959 Gillette #195 and Voskhod Alum, Barbasol Pacific Rush AS Dialing in the lather of my one full tub take from The Soap Pass-around Volume II. With all the others I've been bouncing through, the puck was dry. Took several loadings to get enough for a dry pasty lather in the bowl, then water brought up the glossy slick. Between the shea butter & lanolin it's a good soap. Slick enough for an open blade. Moisturizing face feel finish. Took me a few moments of aftershave sniffing to find an appropriate complimentary scent. The soap does leave a great lingering aroma, or I got some in my mouth.
Adam, Thanks for the Box - Anticipation - Relief!! I got the samples you sent. Greatly appreciated. They do smell nice. Will save them for the weekend with the wife since she likes the scent too. With much appreciation, Frank
After joining the list I went back and read all the posts from the beginning. Hilarious, entertaining, and now getting me fired up for the 13th round!
Soap box participants: Ben (@ob1page) did some terrific organizing of the box contents. I have decided to pass forward the small samples that have one or two shaves left in them. There were 33 of these containers that were taking up a tremendous amount of room. I have and will be communicating with @hvacguy85, @Fly2High, @wildcatsfan10, and @BaylorGator about these remaining samples. Those four gentlemen are after Ben and would be able to pull those samples any way. Hopefully this will free up some room and keep the quality of the box high as we continue. Ben has generously agreed to ship the samples that are chosen to these four gentlemen. I hope everyone understands that the box was in a predicament as far as size and that these samples were the easiest to pass along due to their low content. I really appreciate everyone's professional dealings with the box and look forward to more successful passes!
One of the goals I set for myself this year was to reduce the amount of soap in my den. I have been working through just samples since February. I even signed up for No Buy 2017 for software to encourage this. As much as I want to sign up for the box tour, I think I need to hold off. I am very grateful to watch everyone's experiences as they get the box and pass it along. If the tour goes another round next year, I will probably sign up. Keep up the awesome enabling!
Big shout out to @ob1page for helping me coordinate these samples going out to everyone. Thank you, Ben!!
Absolutely, thank you Ben! Also, for all of the guys who preceded me in the pass around, is anyone a Stone Cottage Cream fan? The scents of their creams are very different, and not really my thing at all, but I have about 10 samples (each sample good for probably around 10 shaves) that I'd be glad to send out as a PIF (or in this case a PIB), to any of you if you are interested. I also have a Trumper Rose, Trumper Violet, and TOBS Rose sample (each good for at least a couple shaves) that I could send out as well. If any of you are interested let me know and I can list the stone cottage samples and get whatever anybody wants sent out to them. You guys have been tremendously generous on this pass around, and being the last guy (at least for now), I'd be thrilled to give back if it is something any of you would like. If not, I will PIF them on the forum.
I dropped a tub of Stone Cottage cream - Hesperide - in the box as it left me. Not a floral, or cologne scent. Guess I'd say Savory? If I recall like poultry spice used in turkey. What other scents do you have? Are they similar? Tapatalk Via Kyocera
Spiced Bay, Bay Lime, Frankincense Fog, Suede De Kashmir, Musk, Vetiver and Vanilla, Coconut Holiday (sorry - the 10 included the Trumpers and TOBS samples). The first two smell like bay leaves. The Frankincense was described by my six-year-old as smelling like "sweetened dog poop", which i'm not sure I totally agree with, but can't seem to come up with any better description than that.(Apparently Frankensense is a "you like it or you don't" kind of thing). Vetiver and vanilla is a bit sweet and perfumey to me and remind me of the smell of my great grandmother's house (as do the Trumper and TOBS florals), so not my thing. The suede and the musk are like they sound, but come off a little perfumey to me. The coconut whips up great but, again, I get a perfume note and really don't smell the coconut. I'm not the best guy to review these, as I didn't care for the scents, but that's a very subjective thing. They're good creams which a number of guys on this forum rave about (which is why I bought the samples).
wow. I just read the post back and pictured myself as one of the crotchety old men in the balcony on the Muppet show, heckling Kermit. Not my intent. Scents are just a very subjective thing, and these are enough out of the ordinary that they are very hard to describe. Originally I looked up threads with reviews from people who really liked these scents, so there are probably much better descriptions in those threads.
I agree about the quality of the cream base. It was a good product. I'll pass on the samples. I'm sure someone out there would enjoy and might purchase their product if the scents are agreeable. Thanks for offering!
