One of my samples from the box was in a plastic bag and was labeled Stirling Glacial -------? (I couldn't read the last part of the name). Anybody have a clue what that was?
I've got my eye on 2 or 3 soaps. The reason I wanted to contribute these is because of the impact they made on me for de shaving. For example, I didn't try tobs until recently because I've always heard it was a "beginners" cream. I found out very quickly that it is a great cream and is easy for beginners to use. Big difference. The grapefruit scent is my favorite. Mike's is the best soap I've ever tried. It's one that I would still buy even if the price tripled. And I put it in the box for everyone to try ( preferably not to trade ) so that everyone could see just how great it really is. It's not expensive, just very hard to get in the scent that you want. (He sells out after a couple days). HTGAM is one that I always saw YouTube videos. It was in everyone's top 10 soaps. I know it's now PAA, but I put it in the box so people could try both and see the comparison. (HTGAM is better in my opinion but you can no longer get that formula). Jack black is one that almost anyone can buy at a store and its a good cream for what it is. I would love for both the mikes and HTGAM to stay in the box for everyone to try but I know that will most likely not be the case. I will let you guys know what soaps I would like to trade after I've sampled a few. Right now I'm just looking at both the caties bubbles. Which of course I will provide samples of each for everyone to try if I'm allowed to trade for them. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
Kind of a caramel color... Also, while we're talking about colors, I had some stirling sandalwood from a trade that was a similar color to that. Maybe a bit lighter. The soap in the past around labeled Stirling sandalwood was much darker brown. Any thoughts? Could Mabie the one I have the vanilla sandalwood or something?
Are you sure it is a Glacial? Almost looks like pumpkin spice. I did not think iced pineapple was in the box but that is a brownish color too. Lastly, a lighter brown could be frozen tundra.
The only Stirling menthols I recall in the box were Orange Chill and Glacial Wintergreen and neither of them are caramel in color
Looks pink to me in the samples I just got a few weeks ago. I wonder if the color changes as it gets older. My new Orange Chill is a Orangy Yellow but more on the yellow side. The little bit of the sample I have left from the box is the same color
What does it smell like? It looks like Vanilla Sandalwood too. Did your samples get mixed up? All of my menthols have that definitive minty scent.
Too many soaps - only one face. I still have samples to try, but I keep going back to my regulars. I liked Palmolive stick, want to get it. Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber soap & AS Splash are are also high priority.
It's awesome man. I'll be sending it out tomorrow! I've enjoyed it. I have a few soaps I'd like to trade. I'm sending pictures shortly Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
These are the 3 I hope to take from the box. Let me know if this is ok. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
Can we have a glimpse of what might be going in? Always curious what shavers like and do not like or are willing to swap.
Are you adding all of those you posted earlier? That give and take looks good to me. Glad you've enjoyed the box!
It has been a little while but I did recently try a sample from the pass around box. It was Sandpiper. I thought it smelled like a Mary Jane candy bar. Unfortunately, I was not too keen on the scent. I think this is one of the few soaps from Stirling that I do not care for. What this added to the box or came from the vendor? It was suppose to smell like YSL nuit del'homme but I cannot make out that scent. Does anyone have Sandpiper and do you feel it matches YSL?
