Any first thoughts, Kenny? There is a lot of software to sort through and characterize!

I spent last night going through them and getting a feel for what I liked. Took a little bit of some of them for trial reasons since I can't possibly shave with all of them in a week. Lol. I didn't shave last night since I got into a movie after going through some of it. I will be shaving tonight with the Caffeinated cream.

I like the smell of Jeeves Turkish Bath and Crown & Crane Tobacco leaf & Amber and they will probably be on deck for later this week.

Great! Yes, take some samples out for later because you are certainly correct about there being too much for a week's worth! The caffeinated cream is interesting. I'd like your take on it. It's easily available at Walmart and Target.

And yes, the scent of Jeeves Turkish Bath is quite nice. I'm anticipating the Crowne and Crane tobacco soap as well once the box gets back to me. I didn't try any of those soaps before sending it out.

My plan is to send it back out Friday. I figure go through a couple a day so I don't over work the smell sensory and mix them up.

Have at it, as far as I'm concerned.

Used the Caffeinated shave cream tonight. It's thinner than most creams I have come across so I didn't think it would lather up well, but it wasn't too bad. Your skin gets a little tingle to it. Smells like it has a little menthol in and that's probably why the tingle. It has almost a shimmer to the look of it, but beware of you use it, it's flows nicely out of the tube so I could see using too much being a problem. Over all I could see picking this cream up for a time to time shave.

Nice photo! I always found that cream to be pretty slick. My skin felt pretty nice after using it. It's a little thin for my taste when lathering but always worked well.

I've been seeing that Lather&Wood aftershave around the forum a little bit. Like it?

I like it and the smell is pretty good. Not over powering like the Old Spice I was using and nice and refreshing. I don't use many lotions or balms because I hate the greasy feeling, but this doesn't leave one at all.

Next shave is probably going to include of the Razorock soaps. They aren't like the other soaps, seems to have a soap/cream mix as opposed to a bar soap feel.

Since I've only ever had one soap until now, I'm leaning a little towards the softer soaps, creams. I really haven't had much to compare until now. I'm going to make a full list of soaps I'm going to try out of this box. So far the woodsy and more natural scents have gotten me intrigued.

Creams and croaps will be easier at first, but just remember...it all about how much water you add. Hard pucks actually last much longer and are far more cost effective in the longobg run. Take samples of all soap types and experiment with water usage.

Yeah I figured the hard soaps would last longer. I've shaved some off of them too. I joined this to get a feel for different soaps and scents. Right now I have 15 different soaps I have set aside to try lol

Most people try to sample what smells the best, obviously...but I encourage you to also look up some of the soap makers and see what wet shavers are saying are the best brands...then taking samples even if they aren't your "top scents." Some of them will grow on you and/or smell differently when not around the myriad of other scents.

I put some of the best artisans/soap makers in existence in there, so it will really help you and others out.

For the record: I have tried many hundreds of soaps. Heck, I OWN hundreds of soaps. My absolute top performers are Martin de candre, Stirling soap, mickey Lee soap works, catie's bubbles, barrister and mann...and for creams: Taylor of Old Bond Street and Truefitt and Hill.

I really like almost all the sterling products. I had to pull them out of the bag and seperate for a couple hours, so the scents weren't clashing.

The Simpson's cream in the box is nice. I found the Derby lemon cream to be quite effective. There is a lot of good stuff in the box. I know you'll find several things you like.

No picture as I was yelling at my kid not to use all the hot water lol

Used my Lee Manufacturing Company straight I just got in the mail today for tonight's shave. Picked Razorock Caribbean Holiday for the soap. As I put a little in the bottom of the bowl, I wasn't sure how well it would lather. It lathers up very quick and has a nice consistency. Stayed slick throughout the shave and smells very nice. The lather almost looks dirty due to the color of the soap. It cleans out of the brush well afterwards as well. Overall very happy with my choice tonight.
