I'm just happy I finally got in on a new release before it stock vaporized. I'm guessing they'll be sold out of at LEAST XXX and P.160 tonight
I think it is called "The Freedburg," and reportedly the scent is based on Creed Aventus. I've never smelled Aventus but I'm told that it is an amazing scent. Some have described it as "smoky pineapple," which I think is interesting.
Any reviews in yet on the new P.160 and XXX? Especially on how they compare to the previous versions.
Can't compare, but they're both darn fine soaps. Received my order Wednesday, P160 Thursday morning, XXX this morning. P160 is very on the cherry side of marzipan so far as scent. Bowl lathers with a boar brush in huge, typical RazoRock fashion. Gorgeous dense, shiny, slippery lather. Ditto the XXX. the XXX scent is harder for me to put a finger on. Kind of like a fern in a barbershop...maybe... If the originals were better, they must have been truly magical. These are very, very good soaps.
According to the USPS tracker, mine should be delivered today. I got P. 160 and Son of Zeus. I can't compare to the old P.160 as I didn't use it when it was made, and I don't have $10,000 lying around.
Mine should be here Monday. I'm expecting the P160 to be excellent as always I'm hoping the XXX is the AdP scent though which is the true original...
