here the equipment of my just endet Sunday shave:

-Robert Becker Scuttle
-Merkur Futur (WTG-->3,5;XTG-->2;ATG-->1)
-Mike´s Natural Soap Pine & Cedarwood (Sample)
-Polsilver blade (2nd shave)
-CH Pitralon

Great shave.I didn´t shaved with my Futur a very long time...I don´t know why.Very good razor.The only thing you have to do: DON´T apply ANY pressure!!! But with the different settings i had a very comfortable,mild shave.Now i´m ready to watch the NBA Game between the Clippers and the Lakers.

Yesterday's shave.

Prep: hot shower, Axe Cooling Face wash.
Brush: TGN Grade A.
Razor: Gillette Aluminum Tech.
Blade: Personna Med Prep.
Cream: Palmolive Menthol.
Post: cold water rinse, Axe Cooling Aftershave gel.

I think using menthol back to back is too much for me. I had some irritation but it was totally worth it.

 

What steps did you take in using the Arko stick?

 

I put the Arko tip in water and applied to my wet face, I then brushed with my boar brush to work it up, but only got a thin layer.

I think I didn't soak the Arko in the water long enough?

 

Try rubbing the stick on your face for 30 seconds or a minute. Then shake out your brush and rub it in adding water as needed.

Just got some Internet service, so I'm back.​

In the mean time, I have been using my English Gillette New.​

It is fast becoming my favorite DE razor.​

Minimalist shave. But really pleasant.

 

Back to back menthol is indeed too much for a lot of guys - especially stronger menthol like the Palmolive cream. The Gatsby face wash, Visal gel, and the Rub would lift your face out of its skin if you tried them all during one shave!

 

I have the Rub, but I haven't used it for awhile. I want that freezing sensation. It's starting to get warm now, so I'll have to step up the menthol.

Not a very good shave, I need more practice with the shavette. That's what I get for being lazy and not using a real straight. Its getting warm here and I have a bunch of mama bears samples coming, including the menthol samples.
