Running way late for work today, but I decided to stick it to the man and enjoy a nice 5 pass DFS. I love a fresh Voskhod in the Parat, it's such a smooth shave and a great feeling razor. And I was VERY happy to get my Proraso back as it has been on loan for over a week now. Tomorrow will be my welcome home Godrej shave for the same reason.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: Merkur Progress XL
    Blade: Treet Platinum
    Brush: Simpson Emperor 2
Soap: Proraso Green Tea with Aloe
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Ogallala Bay Rum, Sage & Cedar Toner

A very nice and refreshing shave this morning. Every time the Proraso Green Tea with Aloe soap comes up in my rotation, I am reminded of how much I like it--nice light scent, with just a touch of menthol, and leaves my face feeling good. I had neglected the Ogallala BR, S&C toner lately, so decided to use it--nice stuff.

    Prep: Hot shower
Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Rwanda, BLACK
    Soap: Irisch Moos stick
    Brush: Ever Ready 250PB
    Razor: '62 Slim Adjustable @ 6
Blade: Astra SP, day 2, 3+ passes
Post: Cold water rinse, Osage Rub, Curve, hand strop blade
    'Stache Wax: Steve's Own

    Shave Rating: 5 Blades

Still not a fan of sticks, but this soap is fantastic. I grated my Speick stick down into a bowl, but I'll leave this as a stick as it only comes around about every 5 weeks. It's a nice bit of a change from the norm.

Was in a hurry today, overslept, so I got back my proven Merkur 23C...
WOW! It was my best 'shave-and-run' ever! After straight DE seems to be... intuitive, maybe...

    Eveline shave gel as pre-shave
    Merkur 23C/Blue Personna#?
Muhle travel brush in best badger
    Red Line (Krasnaya L'in'iya) SC
    Cold water rug
    Phyto Expert sensitive ASB

Every time I use that gel as the pre-shave, I love it more. Cooling because of menthol and softerning stubble, smells well. Don't know if it clogs the razor, as I today was my first time to use it with DE, and I never believe something is able to clog the straight :happy102 :happy102 :happy102.

Thanks for the suggestion about using the Eveline Gel as a pre-shave, it works very nicely. It definitely does not clog my razor. Are you the one who donated all of the Russian products to JoHanna? If not who was? I really really appreciate that donation, thank you. I'm enjoying these products. I still have not tried all of them but have loved what I have tried.

That was me who sent that parcel... :ashamed001
I'm happy to see people enjoying the stuff I sent to JoAnna. Well, that gel first was bought by mistake, I haven't read it is brushless. Then after reading the description I've seen 'menthol' and 'softening the stubble fast and good' and other attractive words :happy102. So why not to try pre-shave treatment with it? The other trick I tried is 'Uber-treatment'. Apply gel, wait a minute, lather on top of it... and apply a hot towel. Never tried hot towel over menthol? :happy102

Yep!! We have a couple bottles sitting around the house right now...Its the custom around here, as I know you know, When guest arrive, you fill their palms with lemon cologne and they rub their hands together and rub their faces aswell...It kills the germs from being in public and is refreshing in general...There are several very good ones, but Pe Re Ja is very popular and very nice...The first time I used Acqua di Parma Colonia, the opening citrus blast reminded me of this, of course AdP moves on thru its complex development, but that Lemon reminded me of Pe-Re-Ja...

    Wednesday's Shave

    Arko Shave Stick
    Omega 10029 Boar
    1955-58 Eversharp Schick I2
    CVS/Personna (Day5)
    Arko Nem moisturizer/Arko Aqua AS

Today I just kept face lathering longer than usual...it felt great and the lather just got thicker and fluffier...Then a relaxed 1st pass, and as I rinsed between passes I realized that another pass would have been redundant...I had just recieved one of those one pass injector type perfect shaves...without even trying...actually wanted to do another pass but demured...This is so close and smooth and really does feel as if a razor never touched my skin...:)
For the life of me, I will never understand why injectors like this are no longer made...unbelievable...
