What a smooth shave this morning--and BBS! I had installed a brand new Treet Platinum blade in my Futur but when I started shaving, I wondered if I had mistakenly used an Iridium instead. My experience with the Treet Platinum in other razors has been that the first shave is a bit rougher than subsequent ones. However, my shave with the Futur this morning indicates that it is an ideal razor (for me, anyway) to bring out the best qualities of this blade. The Portman Square cream soap did a wonderful job, lathering easily and providing a very comfortable face feel after the shave. The 4711 splash really was not needed, but felt (and smelled) good anyway.

**Thursday's Shower and Shave**
Long hot shower, I lathered with Dial Mens Bar Soap.
On deck I had warming up a Parker Badger and in my homemade scuttle (two bowls I found at the thrift store) a puck of Pirate's Cove Bay Rum Lime.
After the shower I applied Agape lotion for pre-shave. I whipped up luxurious mound of lather. I choose a Gillette Slim Adjustable with a Derby blade.
I modified my handle hold from a choke-up to further down the handle. It made for a great shave.
Three passes on #6 equaled a DFS/BBS

Due to continuing pains in right arm/wrist, I lathered and shaved with only my left hand. It was like learning all over again. Well not exactly, I have shaved with left hand for part of my face when using straights. However, I did need a reminder lesson that my lip doesn't need to be shaved.
