Wow! What a beautiful setup!

Still very pleased with the South Korean Dorco ST 301 blade. This razor will only be in this rotation because of my Tech Focus this month. Once again the Route 66 soap is amazing. It has a wonder ful scent and it whips up into a great lather. The Black Pearl is unmistakable. Reminiscent of exotic spice cargos of yore this mysterious fragrance sets sail with fresh, herbal top notes over soft florals and a medley of spices. Accented with a smoky depth of vetiver, myrrh and wood grass.

 

@Bird Lives post about his multi-day beard and the efficiency of his trusty I2 inspired me to break out my black I1. I had about 3 days of beard and I had been thinking of the I1 as it is my birth year razor and I recently had one of those big birthdays. You know, the ones that end in zero. I didn't know how old the NOS Personna II was so I sacrificed it early into the first pass as there was more tugging than I hoped for. That gave me a chance to load a NOS Schick Twin. Still slow going but, hey, it was three days of beard.

Long story short was I ended up with another super close, super smooth shave. No cuts, no nicks, no weepers. Nothing but face rubbing goodness. Dolphins ain't got nothing on me.

The Speick Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #56 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Goodwill LC razor with a Personna Super blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Speick After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Hmmm.. sounds interesting. I have RR Tuscan Oud and Figaro gold aftershave, both are oud scents, but very different. I do get a kick from the fact they call it Cosmos and it has the design of the square of saturn. B&M did the same thing with the snake eating it's own tail on the Leviathan soap, both have a deep meaning.

2 pass shave today. The blade was much smoother with this razor than it was yesterday with the Single Ring. Ferox is a herbal citrus type of scent, and made a nice lather. Turned out to be a pretty good shave today. Hope everyone had a great shave !
