Today is my birthday and I went with some of my favorite products for today's shave. The Cahaba Blues soap is always a great choice for me. It makes a rich, thick lather that is nice and protective. Good post-shave feel too. I love that soap. The Rapira Platinum Lux blade has been a great blade the past few shaves. I'll be trying more Russian blades as the month progresses.

I tried an ATG pass today for this first time. I just tried it on my cheeks. I'm certainly smooth but it irritated my skin a little bit. I didn't care for the feel even two hours after the shave. Not sure I'll be adding an ATG pass to my daily shaves. I do just fine with WTG and XTG passes.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #51 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Blue Tip razor with a Voskhod blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

How do you mod your blade? I have one of these and was going to use a diamond cutter in my dremel. I've seen others use a punch.

 

Nice sharp colors Jim! The new camera is paying off.

 

Nice brush. That blue tip looks new!

My Fine Superlite Slant arrived today, you need to really pay attention when using this razor. It's very lite and efficient.
What defines us is how well we rise after falling.

The shave this morning might be the best shave since December 8th, 2013. So smooth a shave and closest I have received. My neck was the biggest surprise as there was no drag when going across the grain.

I like usualy like aggresive razors and i had chance to try it its beta production, i saw that it is mild but very effective razor. I have very clean shave with no irritation.

Thanks. The brush is a favorite. The blue tip was hardly used IMHO. Very shiny, and the tip is almost all blue.
