-I think I'm a two day/blade shaver-is it my sensitivity to any dulling or
is my thick iron wire hair dulling blades prematurely? Amazed at how soft my skin gets with the TOBS Avocado-don't love the smell of it, but the texture and everything else makes it worth it.

    Tuesday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/new Triton
    Solo Menthol-SC
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Tabac-AS
    Tabac-Cologne

I had a nice shave again, but I have mixed feelings about the Triton blades. I find them quite comfortable, but it seems like more effort is required to achieve an ideal result. Still, I got good and smooth. ;) :D

    Hot Shower
    Glycerin Pre-shave
    Wade & Butcher 5/8" Wedge
    Omega Boar
    Arko Shavestick
    Corn Huskers Lotion
    British Sterling (What else?)

First shave with this razor. Quite the PITA getting this thing sharp but I think I at least made it shaveable. The shave was nice and close and comfortable but I suspect a little touch up hone wouldn't hurt. For me at least these thicker blades (with so little feedback) make it very difficult to judge. George Jones and Merle Haggard on tunes.

Always a nice shave with the New, should use it more often

    Razor: Merkur Progress XL
    Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
    Brush: Colonel X2L Best
Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes & Peppercorns
A/S: Generic Witch Hazel, Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes & Peppercorns Toner

Excellent, refreshing shave this morning. I find the scent of Ogallala BR, L&P to be intoxicating. I will spend the next hour or so sobering up. :D

The secret with wedges is patience and tape - a couple of layers of masking tape over the spine will stop you having to plane down the whole razor while you hone the edge and patience will stop you tossing it back in the drawer (or against a wall!). I'm developing a relationship with my wedge razors but is a slow and sometimes painful process.

    Good Luck

    Omega boar brush

I picked up a little Thuringian finishing hone this weekend and gave this razor a few laps on it last night.
The improvement over the pasted strop is palpable, so I guess I'll be going back and polishing up all my razors.
Darn, yet another shave related project!:D

Hey Nick! Have a great time!

    Tuesday

Prep: Hot shower, hand strop blade, soak brush
    Coffee: Home roasted Costa Rica Tarrazu, B L A C K
Soap/Cream: Woods of Windsor/KMF Unscented superlather with a couple drops of Em's Woodstock Oil
    Brush: Semogue 2000
    Razor: Gem Junior Lather Catcher
Blade: Gem, day 3, 3+ passes
Post: Tap water rinse, ice water splash, Humphreys Maravilla Lotion, Curve
    'Stache Wax: Wacky Tacky

    Shave rating: 5 Blades

Probably the most perfect lather I've ever whipped up. The water/soap/cream ratio couldn't have been better. hmmm.... if I had a small set of scales...

    just kidding!

I added the "+" to my 3 passes because I always lather up my neck and J-hook that area.
