Amazed at how soft my skin gets with the TOBS Avocado-don't love the smell of it, but the texture and everything else makes it worth it.

Tuesday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/new Triton Solo Menthol-SC Lubriderm unscented moisturizer Tabac-AS Tabac-Cologne I had a nice shave again, but I have mixed feelings about the Triton blades. I find them quite comfortable, but it seems like more effort is required to achieve an ideal result. Still, I got good and smooth.
Hot Shower Glycerin Pre-shave Wade & Butcher 5/8" Wedge Omega Boar Arko Shavestick Corn Huskers Lotion British Sterling (What else?) First shave with this razor. Quite the PITA getting this thing sharp but I think I at least made it shaveable. The shave was nice and close and comfortable but I suspect a little touch up hone wouldn't hurt. For me at least these thicker blades (with so little feedback) make it very difficult to judge. George Jones and Merle Haggard on tunes.

The secret with wedges is patience and tape - a couple of layers of masking tape over the spine will stop you having to plane down the whole razor while you hone the edge and patience will stop you tossing it back in the drawer (or against a wall!). I'm developing a relationship with my wedge razors but is a slow and sometimes painful process. Good Luck goshawk

The improvement over the pasted strop is palpable, so I guess I'll be going back and polishing up all my razors. Darn, yet another shave related project!
