Man, a funny thing has happened since I last posted...I was trying to answer "Ishouldbeking"'s question about Adjustable settings, and the #9 in perticular, I wanted to say that you can get great shaves on all settings, because you adjust your angle to compensate for the higher level of aggression...well since I've never shaved on #9, I gave it a shot over the weekend...and I did drastically adjust my angle to compensate for the higher setting, but Man I got the closest to a Barber-Shop shave I've ever gotten at home...in fact I almost got skin-burn from rubbing my face all day checking out what a great shave I got :))...Now I've always been a believer that technique makes it so we can get a BBS on the lowest settings, and that was the way to go...but now everytime I go back to my usual settings I end up doing a pass or two on #9 chasing that smooth skin feeling I got over the week-end..
Well this morning I make my first WTG stroke on #4, totally convicted to returning to my old "low impact", multi-pass style, but after making that first stroke I'm missing that "Hot Knife through butter" feel I get from the #9 setting , so I'm thinking "Why fight it"? I changed back to 9 and made a 3 Pass shave on 9...Same great BBS...This is the opposite of how I'm used to even thinking about it... Even admiting to using #9, seems strange..., you know what I mean ?? But screw that, I'm digging it, so at least for now I'm "going with it"... I also want to see how my shaves develop if I continue with this setting...At the very least, getting great shaves and enjoying the process...

Good catch! I worked the SEs in this week because I took my HD with me over the weekend. If you recall, my wife and I went away for our anniversary (had a GREAT time). I could not go a full two weeks without getting my SE shaves in! I'll have 'em back in for the weekend (Saturday and Sunday, BTW) shaves, don't you worry 'bout that. :D

Oh, and congrats on your 1000th post. You've had some great ones and I look forward to what you have yet to share!!

    Beautiful razor Bruce!
Hey Steve, when do you suppose your burgeoning straight razor initiative will start bearing fruit?

All kidding aside, there was a guy in the neighborhood when I was a kid that drove a hot pink 75 Corvette with zebra interior.
