Jeff, how did you learn to sing like Papa Wemba? Your voice is so deep that it must be hard for you to hit such high notes! You also dance great!

Armand, it was not too hard, I like his style, and I was listening to him a lot. I remember when he was here in Montreal at the Hotel de la Montagne 2 summers ago, and he did that concert at the club on the top floor. He was a little mad, because he heard me start to imitate his singing voice! :happy102 I don't want to vent myself, but, yes, I am a good dancer. ;)

Very nice WTG pass with the Wald...it only caught once or twice but did not leave a nick...I feel that I am getting better using my left hand on the left side of my face and I am no longer put off by that part of the shave...finished with the birth year Black Tip and am ready to watch my son play in two double headers this weekend with his Division III baseball team (the College at Brockport).

    Dorco razor
    wally world personna blade <d4>
    VDH delux soap
    VDH Boar
    Smells just like Old Spice.

Another day in shave on the cheap week. The blade is still shaving well. I prefer Williams to VDH but it does work just fine. I a still amazed how good that plastic $3 razor works.

    • [*]Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
[*]Brush: The "Ever Roddy300" an Ever Ready 300 refurbished with silvertip badger knot by "The Knotty Badger"
      [*]Cream: TSD Bamboo & Teak
[*]Razor: '09 Gillette Old Type with Single Ring Handle

[*]A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner & Nivea Extra Soothing ASB
[*]EDT: TSD Bamboo & Teak Cologne

[*]Result: A great BBS shave. This shave could have been the worst I ever got but the scent of the Bamboo & Teak would save the day. Great scent. The Iridium is holding up very well on shave 4, only 10 more to go.

What a nice blade the 7 O'Clock black is, smooth and comfortable although it is time to change. Think I'll have to get some more of these.

    Williams Shave Soap
    Pinaud Clubman A/S

Last of of my official shave on the cheap. Put new blade in Black Handled SS yesterday and used it once so it wouldn't be so sharp for my wife. Today I finished the Derby I had been using most of the week. Tomorrow I am back to my normal cheap routine and will use my creams again (since most everything I use but my razors are $10.00 or below, I tried to keep my week of cheap below $5.00).

Otherstar, you truly play the inexpensive game right.

And at the end of the day, at least for me, the inexpensive products are up there with the expensive.

Williams, VHD and Conk all work beautifully for me - but I really like high-perfumed products. Williams is my fav. among these but I simply can't tolerate its scent. VHD Gyclerin and Deluxe are the two from the line I've tried, and to me they're scentless. (Someone said Deluxe smells like Grey Flannel? :happy102) I'd have used Conk Almond found it to be like VHD with an overly candy-like fragrance.

You need to try Arko products. Inexpensive and excellent.

    Shavemac 22mm silvertip
    fatboy/feather
    J Peterman 1903 SC
    C O Bigelow AS 'Black'
    Profumo 'Chillum' EdP

Wonderful shave these last couple days......the J Peterman stuff is really a nice product. My only small gripe is that I seem to use a little more product than usual. Heh, of course that didn't stop me from recently reordering another 7 ounce tub.

Just tried this AS for the first time (sample size), and I like it so far. It also has a medium scent to it that I actually enjoy. It sticks around for a while afterwards, so there may be some conflict with certain EdTs for a short time. No alcohol in it (which I prefer), and it seems to soak in pretty quickly. I may end up getting a bottle of the cologne in the same fragrance.

    Anyway, BBS results today,
    Martin

I somehow missed the beginnings of the shaving on the cheap business, so I didn't get in on it. After moving toward more expensive products pretty steadily for my first year of wetshaving, I'm reversing field a bit, preferring Fraser's, Proraso, Arko soap(which has been a steady favorite), and Omega boar brushes daily. Today was an exception with the loaner badger brush, which is very nice.

    Regards,
    Tim

Have spent the day in the sun relaxing. The weather is just amazing. :)
