Razor: ATT R1 with Bamboo handle
    Blade: Platinum Lux (2)
Soap: Cella Red tub (2nd time trying from tub)
    Bowl: VDH
    Brush: Tweezerman badger (I think)
    Post: Gentleman Jon Alum block

Preshave was just face wash with warm water and post shave was rinse with warm water then some cold water splashes and pat dry!

Post shave: I added the Alum block!

Razor: Tried out the ATT R1 on Bamboo handle.

Blade: I am liking this blade alot. I like it just as much if not more than my go-to Astra SP.

Soap: This is the second time I used the Cella in the Red tub. It's very easy to lather and gives very good protection just like the Cella from the kilo block. No issues at all with it.

Comments: Shave was very good, I did manage to get a DFS but not quite a BBS. No nicks and no irritation based on the Alum block feedback. For me it is just about as smooth as the R89.

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out!

    Thx.

In the Cella? Not much difference but to me the tub does lather a bit easier the the kilo sample I have. Might just be me, I dont know. I am sure they are the same product thought so it must be me! :)

I have to agree with both of you and Rod. When I face lather it seems better with cold water. With hot water it lathers better in the bowl. Go Figure.

Man oh man, did I ever get a freezing sensation from the Glacial Lemon Chill soap as well as tons of beautiful lather with that wonderful lemony scent. When I slapped on the Glacial Wintergreen witch hazel it felt so bloody cold that it was almost painful! (in a good way, of course!)

I used Seifenglatt Montpelier today and it is a great soap. I do notice, however, that for me B&M is better in post shave feel and slickness of the lather. It must be the combination of lanolin and shea butter. B&M is top shelf for me, and I with Seifenglatt just a notch below.
It was an excellent shave overall, Cologne Russe is great with Montpelier's grapefruit notes. Der vorschlaghammer easily took down my stubble, leaving one weeper due to operator error. Otherwise my face feels smooth.
    Prep: Bulldog face wash
    Soap: Seifenglatt Montpelier
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Der Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: voskhod
    AS: B&M Cologne Russe

Great! Whips up a ton of lather. I'm going to have to get use to it but I'm going to like it a lot.

Unfortunately none of the alcohol-based ones because they cannot be shipped to Canada. The law prohibits it. The witch hazel though is wonderful. :)
