Shower:
Shampoo - Dr. Burt's Herbal Treatment Shampoo (2 passes)
Conditioner - Burt's Bees Super Shiny Grapefruit & Sugar Beet Conditioner
Facial Wash - Nivea Sensitive Skin Facial Wash
Soap - Issy's 100% oo Soap
Grooming:
Deodorant - Burt's Bees Herbal Deodorant
Floss - Glide
Toothpaste - Rembrandt Complete Mint
Toothbrush - Reach Tooth & Gum Toothbrush - Soft
Blemish - Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish Stick
Moisturizer - Thayer's Witch Hazel & Aloe Moisturizing Lotion
Shave:
Razor - Parker 22R TTO DE
Blade - 7AM Platinum
Brush - Proraso Omega Boar
Soap/Cream - SSC Shea Butter and Avacado Oil Cream (1/2 teaspoon)
Shave Technique - WTG/45XTG/45XTG/Touchup. Warm water rinses in between.
Lather Technique - Soak brush and shake out. Add cream to bowl. Swirl and add a few drops of hot water and swirl a little at a time until lather builds to where you want it. Too much water and you can add 100% glycerin or more cream to thicken it up a little.
Post-Shave:
Alum Block - Wet with cold water.
Proraso pre-post - Mix with cold water on hands first.
Ogallala Bay Rum Aftershave - Just a dab will do you.

Result: 4.5/5.0 Except for the unexpected blemish, the shave was very nice. Near BBS with no peeps from the Alum Block. The Parker 22R is nice but I need to get used to the light weight. The SSC Cream is not the best smelling but it whipped up a nice slick, cushioning lasting lather. Since I use a spare stainless pet water bowl for my shave bowl at work, I can run the bottom under hot water between passes to re-warm the lather quickly. I did touch ups with just splashing warm water on face and spreading cream remnants around. Very slick that way. No need for more cream.

First try with the Ogalla Bay Rum Shaving Soap, very BAD!!!.. Lather consists of very airy thin bubble-foam - which disappears from your face within seconds.. The scent is wonderful but the lather is Crap!! (scuse my english)..
I will try it again in a few days..

 

Let us know. I was considering getting some of this stuff since I have the aftershaves and colognes but then again I have too many already.

 

Wednesday

No shave today.

Tomorrow: my new Slant + Euro Gillette! :drool

 

Well, you can't really call it "playing with sharp objects" seing it was a blunt blade that tore me up :rofl

After writing that MAMA line I went back to the bathroom and reached for Mama Bears Cucumber ASB. 10 minutes later the stinging on the neck was gone and within an hour also the red spots disappeared. Mama Bear's ASBs really are miraculous products ::

Not too crazy about the 7am blades so far. On a good note, I've found that my custom MamaBear's Menthol/Peppermint A/S milk is good to use as a mixer for just about every other A/S balm I've tried. Makes everything nice and cooooooool.

Holy cow, was that a nice shave! The Slant buzz is not just a hype machine, for my beard and face it is the best razor yet! :drool Zero irritation on the alum block and I barely felt the Royall Lime. :happy036

Result: 3.0/5.0 I blew it. Got one weeper. I was trying out 7AM blades in a Parker 22R and this was day three. Halfway through the first pass I knew I should have switched blades out. I toughed it out and caught a weeper on the second pass.

Second try with Ogalla, I now used almost no water and a different brush.. (After mail contact with seller) but alas.. Still crappy.. The lather is either non-existent or very non-protective sticky goo-like.. Full review in the making.. Still love the scent though..
All in all a rather bad shave - but I had to try the Ogalla again..
