    Prep- cold water face wash
Razor - English Gillette LC NEW
    Blade - personna blue (1)
    Brush - trader joes synthetic
    Soap - stirling (stirling spice)
Post - witch hazel , neutrogena balm

So this shave was AAAMAAAZING. It's definitely the best shave I have gotten to date. I almost gave up on these vintage open combs that I just received due to a couple bad shaves. It turns out it was a bad blade. I also now know what everyone is talking about slickness. This is my 2nd time using this soap and the first time it wasn't that great. BUT this time something happened.. The slickness came out of it. It felt like a thin layer of oil was applied during the shave. At first I thought the blade wasn't in the razor I had clean and check the blade was in. The glide was sooo smooth it was crazy to think there was a blade in it. Now the lather wasn't big and voluminous like all the other soaps it was just creamy but very slick. It was an irritation and blood free shave. Until I couldn't stop but I'm bbs smooth with to small areas of irritation near the back of my jawline. That was just from being greedy.. I'm just in a wow state right now. FINALLY the shave I've been looking for!!!
    Happy shaving gents!!

Fantastic! I'm very happy it came together for you today. Now try to remember how you went about creating that lather and repeat it everyday from now on. Also Personna Lab Blue are excellent blades! :)

She does make those, Devil's Cut is every bit as good as those, maybe better. The AS seems more moisturizing for some reason.
Give em a try, I'm sure you could trade or sell if you don't like a scent.

I agree on Arko. It is very easy to lather, but the quality of the lather is average or so, imho, and I'm not a big fan of the scent.

    Brush: Whipped Dog 30/45 Silvertip
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Soap: Pre de Provence Shea Butter soap
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Nivea Men Post Shave Balm, Florida Water cologne
I loaded the WD Silvertip with the Pre de Provence soap. It took me awhile to whip up some lather, as I'm used to using cream. Got some good lather with a neutral soap scent. WTG XTG on my face and neck on 5 the FB was singing a nice song. ATG on my neck on 3. Nice and slick and with my FB on 3 for my neck I can buff a little on the hard to get to spots for a very nice smooth shave. Must be the Shea Butter. Warn water rinse and pat dry. Then some really nice Cucumber WH, it gives a nice fresh feeling. After cleanup some Nivea balm. Followed up with a big splash of Florida Water. It has a cinnamon citrus scent that is rather unique, and I like it. Reminds me of diving down in Key Largo.
