Yard work is done, boys bicycles are fixed, tuned up, and ready to go. Shave time has arrived! I have been very anxious to try my new Ambassador.

Of all my razors I had been wondering if any were considered aggressive. Now I know. Not a one. This new Ambassador is aggressive. The first thing I noticed was that there seemed to be a lot of blade exposure. I cut myself three times. Then I was more careful and went to the safety bar side. Still aggressive. After rinsing, cleaning the brush and bowl, I noticed a dozen or so weepers. Little sneaky ones that took a long time to reveal themselves. The alum was a scream. Still is, really.

The new Vie-Long horsehair brush is very stinky. It was still stinky after use and rinse. I hope it goes away soon. I like it. It lathers up nicely and feels pretty good too.

I need practice with this new razor. It is a different and unforgiving beast.

What an enjoyable, interesting, and pleasant shaving experience. This is only my second use of this razor. It came courtesy of @DDuckyMark through the Nationwide Tour Box. The auditory feedback is fantastic. This razor is fun to shave with! No nicks, weepers, or irritation.

I had 2+ days of growth and had plenty of time today so therefore went with more passes than usual. I should have done a little touch-up on my neck, but that's okay. I'll get it tomorrow. Pretty darn smooth shave. The TSD products are outstanding as usual. The ice water rinses felt nice and refreshing. I also spent much more time than normal during face lathering which yielded an amazing, thick, rich lather for the first pass.

All in all a really nice shave on a beautiful day. I hope everyone is doing well!

Prep: Musgo Real orange amber
Razor: Gillette Tech/Somerset
Blade: Asco super stainless (4th shave)
Brush: RazoRock plissoft
Soap: Ingrams
Aftershave: Lucky Tiger
Balm: DIY aftershave butter


2 pass shave today. The Ingrams made a wonderful lather, and has a nice amount of menthol. Got a very good shave this evening. Finished off with LT and some homemade aftershave butter, excellent stuff. Hope everyone had a great shave!
