    Wash with Gatsby FW
    2 hot towels
Cremo Cooling Shave Cream (as pre-shave)
Cyril R. Salter Fresh Mint Luxury Shaving Cream
    No-name badger brush
    Gillette Slim (4) w/Gillette Silver Blue (2)
    3 passes, touch up
Cold rinse, witch hazel, Duke Conner Ice Cold AS Balm, Barbasol Brisk AS

Nice shave. The brush is a big, floppy thing that still sheds. But it's the first brush I ever bought, so I have a sentimental attachment to it. It took a minute or two, and lots of water, to get a lather. But it worked. The Salter has a very light scent, but is nice and slick.

Yes! I thought I was getting good with a DE but find I've made further improvement to my shaves after using a straight exclusively for a couple of months. Odd. And satisfying.

3 passes - no cutting myself today!! Not quite as close as the last shave but also no blood, so... :think002:

    Soho Joe Original Face Wash
    Maseto 30mm silvertip
    Phoenix and Beau Oberon Soap
Geo. Wostenholm and Sons Pipe Razor
    A little alum, and
    L'Oreal Men Expert Balm

On a totally different note, I smelled Creed's Aventus and Vetiver this morning, and I know I loved one of them... but I can't work out which one! It was on my hand on my way home and smelled great. They're out of my price range really though. Ah well.

I didn't enjoy this shave at all. It was first of all too rushed so I got perhaps a DFS result. The Dettol Cool cream is so-so in terms of scent although it does lather very well. Its menthol effect is reasonably cool but it's no face-freezer. I felt a bit of dryness from it after my cold water rinse so I needed the Gold Bond Moisturizer which helped a lot. The Alt Innsbruck saved the day for me.

    See you again soon. :)

    Blade: Guard Cart. (6)
    Lather: Gillette Foamy

With 1 pass, WTG, a thorough clean up. A 2nd slurry pass, ATG/XTG/WTG as an overall clean up. Cold water rinse. A couple touch ups, about 20 minutes. Even got those whiskers that grow in a crazy direction on my neck. One Happy Camper here. One of the best shaves in recent history. I`ll have to stop calling it a toy from now on. Enjoyable shave for all, and God Bless.

Today's shave was with a German Steel, Boston made razor. I had a smooth 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. Zero issues, it just mowed down 2 days worth of growth like nothing was there.

Razor- Dame Stoddard & Kendall, Boston. German Steel.

    Brush: Vulfix 404 Boar/Badger
    Soap: Eufros Cronos (sample)
    Razor: Pal Golden
    Blade: Schick Proline B
Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Pinaud Clubman AS
    IMG_20180404_161934.jpg
Only the second outing for the Golden but as the first outing was with a Pal vintage blade this the first time I've seen how it shaves.
It was also my first go with a Eufros soap.
Well what a fantastic shave that was the Golden did everything you'd expect from an Injecto-matic and revelled in the slickness provided by the Cronos.
I can see why Eufros has so many fans, pretty good performer and post shave. The scent is hard to suss out, in the little tub it smelt quite floral (hence the Clubman), once lathered up it was woody and tobacco? The Clubman wasn't the best marriage in the end.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

    Williams Wednesday
Hot water wash with a washcloth
    Ever-Ready 150
    Bombed Williams menthol mug soap
    Gillette New Standard
    Astra ss (2)
    Osage rub
Today's shave was very nice. I was inspired to use a couple of my elements today. First I opted to join in on Williams Wednesday. I made very nice lather, in abundance (oodles in fact), it was coming off the brush in globs. Next, I wanted to try the adjustability of my new standard. I tightened to snug then back a quarter turn. Wow, what a change. It made this razor hungry. Three passes had me giddy (although it bit me). I finished with Osage rub, for a very cool menthol hum, and very smooth. @jmudrick , your suggestion of quarter turn really paid off, thank you.
Hope y'all did as well, or better. 20180404_154511_resized_1.jpg
