    04/10/2018 - Tuesday Night Shave

Stirling SPICE - PAA Green Ray Synthetic

SCHICK KRONA - with a NOS Vintage Schick Plus Platinum on 1st shave. The Razor and the blade are just awesome, we got all these machined 2 to 3 hundred dollar razors and I dare say they dont TOUCH the KRONA - The KRONA's head and cap has a simple but perfect design that makes it easy to get the angle, yah it is mild but I find it efficient and paired with the blade that was released during the era of the KRONA it's just perfect. So you can get a Krona all day and night for 10 to 20 bucks max, or you can spend 200 on the latest "machined - stainless - 5 plate - blah blah - with a 2 year pre pay waiting list" -- gimme the KRONA!

Lately I can't seem to break away from my RVT soaps - actually I'm saving my Glacials for when the hot weather comes. This Cabin from RVT has a lovely cedarwood scent and does it ever lather like a beast. It also has a bit of a cooling effect from the peppermint in it. Its skincare is also excellent. The Bull Dog moisturizer gave me a wonderful post-shave feeling. Two passes were enough to give me a super-duper BBS shave!

Enjoy your shaves and have a great day!

Couldn't shave yesterday as our boiler went south. Had to purge system......no water until late.

So, this morning's shave & hot shower felt wonderful. The 7 O'Clock mowed down a rather prickly bunch of whiskers. (forgot how fast my old beard grows!)

Cream: Derby Normal - love the scent and the performance is top notch
    Brush: Omega S10065 synthetic
    Bowl: Dollar Tree Salsa
    Razor: RazoRock German 37 slant
    Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock (3)
    Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

Ikon 101 and 104, head and beard shaves respectively. Like the 104 the 101 just misses the mark for me as a daily driver, but in the opposite direction. Nice shave but a bit too much work even with the sharp BIC. The vintage Wilkinson still doesn't wow me. TOBS Sandalwood.[IMG]

    Thursday morning's planned shave:

    L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Astra day 4
    Stirling Frozen Tundra SS
    Gold Bond Moisturizer
    Osage Rub AS Splash
    Lagerfeld Classic EdT

Plenty of iciness in this setup!

    Razor: Personna Floating Head
    Blade: Gillette Twinjector (13)
    Pre Shave Oil: Homemade
    Brush: VDH Badger
    Lather: Proraso Green
    Newspaper Date:Dec. 9, 1943

I must be having a fantastic run of good luck. With a 2 pass shave, WTG/ATG some clean up and loads of Proraso Magic, a cold water rinse, and a Mennen Afta finish, I may not need a shave tomorrow. With the same set up yesterday, my 5 O` Clock shadow was closer to bedtime. Today`s shave was even better. Oh, I`ll shave in the morning cause I like to. God Bless to each and all.

    Bill

I would comment that the iciness of the Stoylin and Osage cancel each other out, but I'm sure you'd disagree :Animatedfrozensmily:
