This morning’s shave. Omega break in continues. I’m at the point that I need to discard software in order to make room for anything new, so I’m shaving with software on the green mile. I really enjoy Crown & Crane soap but Kingsmen is a bit too talcum forward for me in the barbershop arena. I’ll be PIFing it or adding to the Shavey award cache. I also continue to be on the fence with Florida Water. Still time for the Governor’s Pardon on that one.

 

I have always been curious about Florida Water. Didn't Joan Crawford swear by it?

 

Andrew, that is an interesting dial on your Schick adjustable. I’m not sure I’ve seen that dial on other Schicks.

 

Thanks Jim, it's a very early model (maybe prototype). I've only seen a couple other examples like it.

Tonight's shave was with a German Blade. I had a super smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BBS.. Zero issues, just a fine smooth shave.

Brush- JR#262. Ebony/Birdseye Maple w/Silvertip Knot.
Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy Scented
Aftershave- Florida Water.

Again, the Lather Catcher is too easy. Almost like it's set on autopilot.
I had more trouble resizing the picture than I did the shave.

Second day with the Schick and another extremely smooth and effective shave. I opened it up all the way and let 'er rip. It was so smooth I wasn't sure it was even working for a bit but boy did it ever. Two passes, some minor touch up with a fantastic lather with Arko and the Stirling brush and the baby is in the house and the alum was silent. Impressive result. I wondered how it would compare to the "half open" setting last night and I can say I prefer setting "Me" on this razor. I'm ready to do it again tomorrow night!
