    THE AFTERMATH
    [IMG]
I hadn’t used the Whipped Dog Highmoutain White Knot in a while and I forgot how pillowy soft and silky smooth it is. It outpunches my softest Thater for about a quarter of the price. Contrasted with the sharp bite of a Glacial shave, yin and yang balanced each other perfectly this morning. The only anomaly was the (new to me) Wilkinson Sword Blade. I’ve shaved with it twice (effectively and with no drama), but just find it to be less smooth than other blades. Anybody else have thought on this blade?

Razor: ?? SMX 3 blade Cartridge Gadget. with Cart. (1)
    Lather: Gillette Foamy
    AS: Mennen Afta

A very puzzling 3 pass shave, WTG/ATG/ ??? While shopping at our favorite grocery outlet, my eyes caught this thing with 3 blades ($1.97), kinda attractive, with 11 carts. What the heck, $1.97. Don`t think it will break the bank. So, the shave? 1st pass: Not what I would call the smoothest in town. No irritation, a +. Not close a -. 2nd pass: I started way down on my lower neck, worked up slowly, a little smoother. Rinsed off. Not the shave I wanted, so I added the 3rd pass. Not that much lather left, so it was a little thin. Not bad, a + maybe. Tomorrow will be Proraso for sure. All in all, maybe somewhere near a BBS. God Bless.

Edit. An addendum, after this morning`s shave, I`ve had a little time to reflect on the experience. The shave turned out to be a little better than I thought, but in the process, I`ve learned a valuable lesson: The journey from 1st splash to the AS pat down, is as important as the outcome. The mid priced, or even cheap tool that delivers the same thing, is not as important as "The Art of Wet Shaving". Really enjoying `Your Time`. Now `I Get IT`.

For me, however, the tugging is my indicator that the end is nigh.

Lovely 3 passes yesterday. The result - BBS was very very close! Glad this one was better than the last. Valobra soap is gorgeous in terms of lather and post shave feel, but not as nice a scent as some others - I will buy again though. Gifted in a PIF and what an awesome surprise that has been.

    Soho Joe Original Face Wash
    Maseto 30mm silvertip
    Valobra soap
    F. Herder 77 square point
A little alum, although not necessary
    Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm
    Pinaud Clubman After Shave Lotion

Never used a balm then a lotion before. Just felt like it.

Proraso White cream is my favorite one of the four Proraso brothers. Nice, clean scent. Whips up copious amounts of creamy, cushioned lather in no time. It also happens to be my cream for this Sunday's shave. Great minds think alike....or so I've heard. ;)

I’m bbs smooth! But damn this razor is harsh. I started the shave with a Voskhod and oh hell no. It was pulling and tugging . I debated and debated and said “WTH” I pulled out the feather but decided to try shimming. Lol funny thing is I forgot how to and didn’t want to go out to find my phone. I kept switching the position of the shim between passes and just went with it. My face felt a little scraped but the end is bbs with only a slight sting from the aftershave. Such an aggressive razor but it’s a keeper.
