SOTD:
Decided to use the palmshave a second time last night, beautiful BBS shave, but im still not a fan of the scent or its slickness which isnt great, but it gets the job done. I can definitely see that its far better than gel, but not as good as something like Godrej lime which easily beats it in terms of slickness and scent.

Beautiful performance from the lion de, my next shave tomorrow will be with the aristocrat, so its the last shave with the lion for a few weeks or so.

The feather is definitely losing sharpness quickly, no pulling or tugging yet but i can definitely see that the amount of hair it shaves after each pass is decreasing, so ill probably retire it at shave 30.

Daves balm performed flawlessly as it always does, a great winter balm if you suffer from dry skin.

SE Sunday's Shave


Cold Water Rinse

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Amalfi Basil Lemon Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #343 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher razor with a Gem Blue Star CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Dove Men+Care Post Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I enjoyed one of the best shaves I had all week with my Wilkinson long handle - it seems like the more I use this razor the more I love it. Jaco’s Klipspringer soap is such a great latherer thanks to my Plissoft synthetic - since I bought it a couple of years ago I’m hard pressed to use any of my other brushes. This soap’s scent is so nice - it’s a lovely blend of coffee and peppermint as well as some menthol notes. Talking about menthol, it’s supposed to be the mildest of the “Kick” range but let me say that it’s NOT so mild at all. The postshave feeling is so comfortable which is another good bonus. The Prep felt so good afterwards and I absolutely love the Alt Innsbruck’s scent which is so old school in a European way. The wife and I are invited to some friends’ house to have dinner for the Greek Easter celebrations today. This was such a beautiful BBS shave!
