Tabac Tuesday's Shave

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #360 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the TNNSER razor with a Gem Blue Star CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This Minora blade is getting a bit dull but I still managed to get a hell of a nice, close shave from it. The Brutalt Bra soap is a very good latherer with a nice lavender scent and a comfortable postshave feeling. The Fino balm did such a good job of soothing my skin and the Hega aftershave completed the job. Two passes with some touching up and I’m BBS!

That is a lovely razor. Great job on the modification.

 

Le Coq Caged Head/Supermax BDT. Interesting to be sure. With this blade at least the razor's extraordinary aggressiveness is not accompanied by exceptional efficiency, tuggy and ineffective going ATG on my head. A real design fail compared to the Famex it resembles but is nothing like to shave with. Will try next time with a different blade.

Finished the month with my Fat Boy Adjustable. It's been a great month for adjustable razors. As you can tell the water level has been high around here and there has been lots of flooding. We are on high ground so it didn't effect us.

 

I haven't had a shave in about a month, since getting home from my 19 day stay in the hospital I've used my beard trimmer to clean up. I'm now on warfarin (blood thinner) and I'm just a tad worried and getting a cut, even though I think I'm a pretty wet shaver. I won't be able to shave my head but will use the trimmer.
Here's to hoping to get a shave in today.

Yesterday’s quick shave

 

Ready to go retro, after a few years hiatus using a Fusion. Found this Eversharp Eagle, bought some blades, and will jump back in tomorrow morning. May or may not press the Forbes mug into service, the Old Spice with Williams soap have been with me a long time.

Been waiting for this brush to completely break in and it's really starting to feel a lot better. It's my largest boar brush and produces great lathers. Two passes and some touch up for a very smooth and comfortable BBS shave.
