    TUESDAY'S SHAVE

Bath Soap - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood
    [IMG]
    Razor - Merkur 1904
Blade - Shark Super Stainless *4th Shave
Shave Brush - Ralph Lauren Safari Collection fitted with Synthetic Knot manufactured by Frank Shaving (replaced by jimjo1031)
    Pre-shave Oil - Lather & Wood "unscented"
Shave Soap - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood Cream (Dried for months into a hard soap.)
Shave Mug - Ralph Lauren Safari Collection
Post Shave Balm - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood Skin Food
Deodorant - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood
Fragrance - Ralph Lauren Safari EDT

I'm going to give my face a bit of a rest by shaving with the forgiving, low-aggression Merkur 1904 razor. I'm going to smell great though as I really like this scent.

***EDIT - Today's shave turned out fantastic. Zero irritation and I actually got a BBS shave out of this razor for the first time. I think a super sharp blade is the key. The Shark Super Stainless I think is helping this razor perform. I really liked the shave today. My shirt collar is not causing any problems on my neck like it can on more aggressive shaves. Today's shave was a total win.

Honestly, for me, at first it seem way too aggressive and I initially had some irritated shaves. But after many shaves and blade tests I went back to my favorite BiC Chrome-Platinum blade and it's been amazing shaves since I've gotten more skilled with it. It's one of my better razors now, and in time, maybe I'll appreciate it even more.

    Monday SOTN

It's been a while - out came the Supply Provision V1 with a Chick blade. 2 passes with 3 dot, final pass and touch up with the 2 dot plate. One area with an initial weeper and slight irritation at the chin. All better with alum and AS. Still rocking the Arko . My Merkur Tuna is ready for the day. Have a great night everyone.

My Second Full Shave at Home with this Cartridge Razor, after a good one yesterday decided on the rare use of a cream. I was really pleased that the regrowth after yesterdays Shave was relatively light.
Ensuring that I did not rush I found the Shave to be very smooth , but found it necessary to rinse it quite often due to using the cream.I took a little longer with this Shave, and was rewarded with a rather face stroking finish with no hint of any post shave problems .I can now put this Razor away knowing that it will make an excellent Travel for future short trips. It may cost a bit more than a disposable, but knowing it delivers a good quality Shave without any
problems makes it worth it. I have tried the much praised Guard and it did not work for me at all.

    Cold Water Rinse
    Amalfi Basil Lemon Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #224 Synthetic
    Gem Feather Weight
    Gem Stainless
    CWR
    PSC Caffeinated AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Amalfi Basil Lemon Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #224 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem Feather Weight razor with a vintage Gem Stainless SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with PSC Caffeinated AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

That calendar was my parents'. From when I was a wee lad (early 50's) I remember it on an old secretary desk in our house in Pittsburgh. My dad would change it every day. It moved with us a few times and after my dad passed, my mom kept it current. It's now mine and although it would probably shine up nice if I applied some Brasso to it, I kind of like the patina that's a result of my dad and mom and now me changing the date daily. I think of them every morning when updating it.
