I managed to shave in a pleasantly gray atmosphere: now the sun has come out....
And, finally, I wasn't distracted by my almondy resolutions!
    Nice lather, enveloping, flowing....
And with a soap with a traditional scent, an EdT with an equally traditional fragrance: a beautiful pairing.

Emma Shapplin, with pieces of classical music or in imitation of them, but rhythmic along the lines of what Waldo de los Rios did in the '60s and I Rondò Veneziano some twenty years later, offers a pleasant and relaxing ambiance with a beautiful voice.

A great start to the day!

    Friday morning:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/ Astra Green day 5
Master Soap Creations Frosted Bay Rum SS
    Prep ASB
    Krampert’s Frostbite AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

Bay rum and menthol - a marriage made in heaven! What a delightful soap this is - my man Fernando created such a precious treasure. The scent is so gorgeous, the lather is a pleasure to work up - it gets so thick, super rich as well as slick thanks to the tallow base, the menthol sensation is delightful, and it’s hard to find better skincare. A nice massage with the Prep, and a couple of icy cold splashes with the Krampert’s Frostbite aftershave followed by the Bleu de Chanel and I’m good to go. This was a three pass BBS work of art!

Have a great weekend - stay healthy and think safely![IMG]

When Fernando packs your orders, does he flip in a freebie(as Doc Ezlovan does at Stoylin)?

    Friday:

hot shower with Yardley Aloe & Avocado bar soap
    Truefitt & Hill PSO
Eversharp Schick J type 3+ passes
    Ted Pella (1)
Edwin Jagger Aloe Vera cream in a warm bowl
    Ever Ready boar
Edwin Jagger Aloe Vera moisturizing A/S lotion
    Paul Sebastian cologne

Huge pain this morning trying to load a Ted Pella into my Eversharp J. I've had issues in the past with these half plastic loaders but not in a long time. The blade kept stopping halfway into the razor and it refused to move any further. I was able to move the previously loaded blade back and forth with no issue but I could not get the new blade more than halfway in without it stopping. I finally loaded it by hand without slicing my thumb but then it appeared that I may have run it across one of the stops so I tried loading another but had the same issue so I ended up loading that one by hand as well. Got all done with the shave and pulled out a vintage Schick Plus Platinum cartridge and loaded a blade like it was nothing. I examined the blades (Schick/Ted Pella) and they appear to be the same dimensions so I'm blaming it on the loader but I'm no engineer so I really don't know what the problem is. The Schick loader slides the blade in like butter but the Ted Pella loader stops dead halfway in. And maybe it's the J type. I've got Ted Pellas loaded in an L and an M at the moment and didn't have any issue with those.

Anyway, I'm clean shaven and I smell nice.

Reload an empty vintage loader, I remember a couple of years ago carefully doing this. I had bought a modern loader without the key and transferred the blades to an empty loader with a key
