A comfortable shave, fragrance-free, that was easy on my easily-irritated face. Both products are great, and they are available in these giant pump containers that will last for a long time. I use the CeraVe every night after washing my face, so the giant Costco-sized container does make sense.

Here my Wednesday Shave (12.04.2023)


Pre: PAA Cube // Razor: Weber // Blade: Gillette green // Soap: Tim´s Soap Columbia River // Brush: Nightdiver // Aftershave: Kramperts Finest Frostbite

Today´s shave was from the category „rarities“ or „forgotten / lost treasures“.

I picked my Tim´s Soap which is unfortunately no longer produced for years. Just as the Weber as well as the Aftershave.

As always the face was washed with hot water to soften the stubbles. After that, the Cube was to work it´s magic. The soap needed to be soaked in hot water, since it has become rock hard over time but as the brush swirled over the soap great lather appeared. Than there is this absolutely wonderful scent, a scent really hard to describe. Just like a stroll through the woods, full of pines on a very crisp, clear winter day.

Now it´s time to shave the whiskers off. The first strokes promised a lot. I love the yellow Gillette in the Weber, but the green one was nearly on par. Very smooth and gentle. Pass 1 completed, very very good, on to the second…here the same again. Here the Weber showed how good he is. Just a bit more „direct“ as an 34c but the razor is smoother, more gentle. Sounds strange, but that´s how it felt.

After 2 extremely good passes i was completely BBS, not even touch ups were needed.

Washed the face with hot and cold water and the Aftershave should show what it is capable of. Like the soap, years not used. Subtle pine scent with a lot of Menthol up on front. This is a Menthol Bomb. Just right for my dear Friend @Yehuda D Directly after applying my eyes started to water…so much Menthol, but i love it. The scent matched VERY well with the scent of the soap. What remains was an absolute fantastic shave.

The best way to describe the Frosted Lavender soap and aftershave is BRRRRRR cold and beautiful - the scent is absolutely magnificent, the soap is a tallow based treasure with such wonderful lather that whips up so thick, rich, mega slick as well as protective, the menthol sensation freezes like Siberia in midwinter, and the skincare is numero uno. The Prep delivered so generously on the moisturizing and soothing, while the Frosted Lavender aftershave not only smells as lovely as the soap - it’s a bona fide menthol atom bomb.
