Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation Lupo.72- Mfg Jan 2021>, mid range, excellent machining and finish QC, easy to work under the nose area, made from 316L marine grade stainless steel. This one is one of my favorite DE razors and checks most of the boxes off for mostly carefree shaving and stellar results.
Blade : Gillette silver blue (3) sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock Irish Country side, nice unique sharp scent(Irish Creed?) with excellent lather qualities. Takes a few shaves to really enjoy this soap. The Irish countryside splash is top notch for scent and should of bought as a set when looking back when I just bought the soap 2 + years ago.
Brush : Yaqi "Rainbow" 26mm brown whiskers synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 with a GSB blade.

Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: Palmolive Classic Shave Cream.
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum. (D2)
Frankenrazor: Muhle R41 (2013) / Schmidt R10 Handle.

A smooth efficient shave to finish my shaving week off wonderfully.

The Palmolive classic shave cream is such a wonderful performer which creates a rich protective lather with only a small amount giving a great lasting classic fragrance throughout the shave, leaving a good post shave feel.
Recently I've had some superb shaves with this Frankenrazor set up the hefty Schmidt R10 handle makes the razor feel balanced and more comfortable to use.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine.

Although I became a mainly soap user I still enjoy certain creams very much and this Palmolive Classic is one of them. Do I ever love the clean, soapy scent - it’s so much nicer than the discontinued American version, it lathers beautifully, and it gives gentle, soothing skincare. The tube I have is from Italy which is exactly the SAME as the one in the green tube sold everywhere else in Europe. The Proraso Blue balm smells nice but I can’t really describe the scent and it’s excellent. Finally the Max Disinfecting aftershave from Bulgaria stings like a s.o.b. but then it feels great - it’s also pleasantly scented. Two passes were enough to give me a superb BBS shave!

The Arko Shave Stick lathered well with the Jayaruh #424 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Yaqi ShaDE Razor with FHT Handle and a Gillette Silver Blue Half DE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Clubman Pinaud Lilac Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Today is the day we hold our annual memorial for fallen highway workers and I perform the national anthem. So I need to look good, and today’s not a day for using aggressive razors. And while I did still experience some irritation even with the President, it’s manageable. I need to revisit my technique, I guess. I really like the Van Yulay soap but I have to put my soap buying on hiatus as I have a lot of them, some of which I haven’t touched yet.

 

Well, the clove scent came out all right in the BR. But let's back up. I'm nearing the bottom of the Jeeves Soap(although probably 10 or so shaves to go). The brush was a soap magnet-just like that it appeared I was looking at an ice-cream cone, not a brush with soap. All parts of the face and neck painted nicely with the brush and soap. Good and warm, too. 2 passes. Goose eggs across the board on cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. Now back to the aftershave. Yeoww...cloves!! I guess the good side of that is that my face and neck feel soft, clean, and just plain great. Reviewers say the scent goes away in too short a time, but I still feel the scent and it's been an hour or so since the shave. I'll work at getting used to the clove persuasion, but right now it smells like a Christmas tree or rhubarb pie. I might put this to the back of the den and wait for the colder weather. There's definitely more clove strength in Gabels than in Stephan.. As Outstanding As It Gets, due to the general feel of my face and neck, and the goose eggs.
