Man oh man I have icicles in my face - even this L’Oréal Men Expert facial Wash has some menthol in it. The Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap has always been a top favourite of mine and I wish Rod would bring it back. The scent is so gorgeous, the tallow formula gives it such fantastic lather that whips up so easily, there’s lots of slickness as is the case like every Stirling soap, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep delivered its own special postshave care, and the Snake Bite aftershave has no discernible scent but it’s another menthol atom bomb. The Rapira blade gave me one last hoorah with a brilliant three pass BBS shave!

Second straight day of going two different directions with my razor, and it led to a nice shave. Good way to close out the Bay Rum "team". (I would say "program", but I'll leave that to the sports announcers who apparently think "team"is too old school). The Clubman Pinaud brush worked well. This brush isn't one of my best, but I'll keep it, as it is OK. No Edmund Fitzgerald wreck for this one. Again, goose-eggs for cuts, Knicks, and polka-dots. Again, South-North for pass 1, North-South for pass 2.The Stephan Bay Rum has always been a solid closer for me. Super Duper Outstanding.

The TSD Iced Lemongrass Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #371 Badger/Boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the GEM Damaskeene and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Brrr......This TSD SS is frickin' frigid!! And it works very well indeed. The 78r is a really really fine razor for me, smooth/comfortable/effective and works great with the Euromax blade. My face is very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Razor : Gem Jr 1912 with a modified Micromatic handle- Head Mfg 1943 & handle Mfg 1932- 41, tame mid range, well built to last generations and many more with some care. Millions of the 1912 model heads where made over the decades and the Micromatic was a good seller also Gem Mfg.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(4) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Tabac, nice flowery clean scent with excellent lather qualities. On 2nd puck.
Brush : Yaqi "barber pole" 24mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Great knot and handle for large hands IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Blue barber with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Gem 1912 with a coated Gem blade.
