This Gentle Giant is one of the NICEST smelling soaps I ever used in my life - wow, the scent is so gorgeous. It’s not a tallow based soap but it gives awesome lather that’s so slick as well as protective, and its postshave feeling is so soothing. The Boomslang 1 balm is so soothing with great moisturizing along with a slight menthol sensation, and it smells EXACTLY like Brut. Talking about Brut I went with the deodorant spray, the aftershave, and the cologne to finish off. Ahhhhh, I smell so nice and old school. What a fabulous three pass BBS shave this was!

Today's shave is with the Ralf Aust 5/8 straight that once belonged to Chris Massey (Bama Samurai) who passed away last month. @twhite refreshed it for me. Thanks, Tom.

The Colgate Shaving Mug Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #434 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ralf Aust 5/8 straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I am trying different Gillette blades that I haven't used before, as I have stuck with a few other brands for a while.

So far, I really liked Nacets - very sharp and smooth. GSB is exceptionally smooth but doesn't seem as sharp. Yellow seems to be very sharp, not as smooth. All are great blades.

Razor : Razorock Wunderbar slant with a modified Gem Micromatic handle. Mfg 2017> mid to upper mid range. Excellent machining and finish QC . I like to use a short handle with more aggressive razors for less leverage, weight and more nimble on the chin area. Light touch works well with the RR Wunderbar slant. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Astra (4) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity. Standard blade for testing new razors in the past.
Soap : Razorock M.F, nice scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Atlantis"24mm synthetic. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock M.F splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 small chin weeper= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my RR Wunderbar slant with a Gillette Astra SP blade.
