SE Sunday, April 14th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm AC type with a Yaqi Milano 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Small head parts makes myself to work on a wash cloth. Very nimble and affordable SE razor. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai captain Titian mild(6) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda cream, nice bright lavender scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush :Yaqi " Lucky Casino's" 26mm timber wolf synthetic knot, excellent lather generator, Heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber. Very enjoyable brush to use in my large collection of different brushes.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Arc Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 small nick (operator error)= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur SE razor with a Kai mild blade.

Gary I shaved using TOBS Sandalwood. OMG it is so amazing! My CH2 generated an amazing lather. The scent of this soap is outstanding. Purchasing the accompanying after shave is a must!

i agree.i went a bit nuts with the tobs sandalwood,it was my first purchase of an english cream,i ended up with the cream,aftershave,cologne and talc..combined it smell's fabulous..just need a top hat..

Tomorrow is Marathon Monday here in the Boston area. I don't like to call it Patriot's Day, although it is that too, because Pats Day was on April 19, 1775. They didn't wait for the 3rd Monday of the month to do The Shot Heard Round The World. Anyway, the Marathon is always fun to watch.

 

I always hear that TOBS has the best Sandalwood.

 

I'm imterested to find out if your Kai(in your description)coincides in any way to my Kairos I'll be shaving witu this week. Ahhhh, probably nuttin.

it's one of my favorites,others feel differently.i doubt it has any real sandlwood oils in it..but it's a classy colonge type scent all the same.

 

.maybe,but it wouldn't go well with my mac jacket and boots..

I hadn't reached for this Jeeves soap in a very long time. This is my last puck of his and, quite frankly, one that I didn't recall enjoying the scent of. Probably why there is so much juice left. Anyway, the way others have recalled Queen Charlotte or other artisan soap makers not active anymore is the way I recall Jeeves. I love the soap base...it has stood the test of time against more recent bases, in my opinion. Tobacco Bay, Apothecary and Key Lime were all nice scents as well.
