This Denu cream would be a very solid choice for a Menthol Monday shave because it’s chock full of menthol. Honestly speaking it’s a fairly good performer - the lather is excellent but I don’t care for the scent, and its postshave feeling is just so so but the Prep came to the rescue beautifully. The Aqua Velva aftershave was a great help also. Two passes were good enough for a true blue BBS shave so I can’t complain!

Razor : Yaqi 2nd generation Mellon head 316 SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle- Mfg 2023>, tame mid to mid range. Machining and finish QC are excellent for my shaving needs. This is one of my favorites when dialed in + performs well with some blade feel. One of my easiest razors to get some of the Best shaves consistently I have found or noticed. The audio feedback is what I enjoy mostly + results it offers. Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Perma-sharp(1) Sharp and smoooth with great longevity. Excellent top tier blade!
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum with sandalwood, nice scented sandalwood with great lather qualities. Apply to a wet face works the best.
Brush : Yaqi "Cola" 22 mm synthetic. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser Bayrum + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum and sandalwood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Yaqi Mellon 316 SSP + a Gillette Perma-sharp blade.

Oh la la my dear brother Rod is a true soap and aftershave genius - his Glacial Citron……WOW!!!!!!!! The scent is so beautiful - it’s a blend of lemon, lime, and a little grapefruit, the soap’s tallow formula gives it such wonderful lather that’s so thick, rich, MEGA SLICK as well as protective, the menthol sensation is off the charts, and the postshave care is awesome. The Stoffel balm has a very nice peppermint scent, just a small amount is enough to coat your face with lots of moisturizing, and soothing, and is it ever freezing cold. I finished off with the beautifully scented Glacial Citron aftershave and it also gave me two boatloads of menthol goodness. Three passes resulted in a magnificent three pass BBS shave that was fit for a king!

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #437 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready 1914 razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lilac Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
