Here my Shave of the Day (27.04.2025)


Razor: Yaqi Bohemia (0.95mm) // Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium // Soap: SV Felce Aromatica // Brush: Doriancrafts // Aftershave: Witch Hazel - Antiga Barbearia de Bairro

What a great shave this was. Very smooth, gentle and extremely thoroughly. This razor has delivered, Stunning. Built like a tank and very heavy, is it still very maneuverable. It took me a few strokes to find and maintain the correct angle but once you had it, the razor shaves on Autopilot.

After 2 passes i was completely BBS and had a big fat smile on my face. Great great razor so far. The soap delivered fantastic as always so the brush had no problems creating tons of lather with wonderful glide and cushion. Applied some Witch Hazel followed by the outstanding smelling Aftershave. Almost no stinging or zinging when applied which showed how gentle the shave has been.

A 10 out of 10

The Triceratops 3D, designed and printed by Roger Quintero aka @SlimGem was originally designed for a Gem blade. However, I recall someone fitted an injector blade. So I thought, what the hell, I'll give that a go.
And so pleased I did, as it gave an amazing shave. Plus it looks so good.

Recently I received a few samples of different soaps from Southern Witchcrafts and because they’re very soft I put them all into a container. The scent of them together is very nice, the lather was so thick, dense, rich with amazing slickness, and the postshave feeling was great. The Lubriderm moisturizer felt so soothing, and the Canada Ceder aftershave from Germany smells beautiful - too bad it’s no longer available anywhere. Three passes gave me a super duper BBS shave that was so much fun!

The Stirling Pharaoh's Dreamsicle Shave Soap lathered well with SlimGem 3D Printed Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Jr. Bar Lather Catcher razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Pharaoh's Dreamsicle AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday turned into a beautiful afternoon here on Long Island. A little windy but still nice in the sun. I went with Tatara Nodachi for the third shave. And for my soap and splash I went to a mainstay artisan in my den 345 Soap Co. The shave did not disappoint.

As I stated today was my third shave with the Nodachi. I had two really good shaves the first two times using the OC and SB respectively. I went with a Nacet blade for those shaves. And I found that the Nodachi was coming on a little strong in my worry areas under my nose and my neck. No nicks on those shaves but the alum gave a nip. So I decided to try a Filoso blade for today’s shave. Filoso has quickly become one of my go to blades. And it did its thing again today. It brought the bite right out of the Nodachi but left the bark. Just the way I like it. A beautiful DFS for sure.

Relevè by 345 Soap Co. is a scent they recently released which is female inspired for women wet shavers. And wow! This is one amazing scent! The profile is bergamot, sweet caramel, raspberry, and vanilla cream. And when I say it smells delicious I mean DELICIOUS! A sweet, warm, soft scent. A perfect scent for a beautiful, sunny spring day!

What a shave!
