Here my Shave of the Day (30.04.2025)


Razor: Yaqi Bohemia (1,35mm) // Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium // Soap: MdC Original // Brush: RazoRock Hive 24 // Aftershave: Witch Hazel - Stetson

A fantastic shave…Side 2 performed even better that Side 1 with it´s 0.95mm blade gap. It is more ease to find and hold the angle.

The razor showed the same smoothnesses as on Side 1 and is still very gentle. But it is much more thoroughly. Wow…after 2 passes i was done. BBS. NO touch ups needed. The soap performed stellar as always, the lather was rich and slick and it is pure fun using this Hive 24 which is already one of my most loved brushes. Just the right amount of backbone for me with cloud like tips.

After applying some Witch Hazel i used my adorable Stetson Aftershave. No burning or zinging…NOTHING. Like applying pure water. Speechless.

Until I discovered this Absolute Zero stuff I never would’ve thought that there was anything else as cold as the Stirling Glacials but not only are this soap and aftershave as cold, they’re COLDER. The scent is very much - very aquatic with minty notes, the soap is vegan based because it’s prohibited to use tallow in India, it gives AMAZING lather with so much slickness, the menthol sensation freezes from here to eternity, and the skincare is very good. The matching aftershave toner has the same scent, and it gives a lethal menthol feeling as well as plenty of moisturizing. Last but not least the lovely Givenchy Pour Homme fragrance. Another tip top three pass BBS shave that was so enjoyable!

I have to get some triple milled
soap at least for the weekend.

Simple CCS shave with an EJ 89 old school Mitchell’s, witch hazel and a little penguin and then just moisturizer that I got as a sample that’s incredible. I gotta look at the name tomorrow.

The Williams Mug Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #18 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Single Ring Razor (1911) and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Pinaud Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
