Thanks for the offer. One of my deacons from church is a NHC, so I'll give him a call if necessary. :)

The razor is one I picked up at an antique store; I'll have to check on its pedigree. I polished the blade, and Glen honed it for me. I'm going to stick with one pass . . . one careful, very slow, pass.

My Stirling Soaps addiction goes on for another day - the MITA delivered its fantastic lather, menthol freeze, and mighty fine skincare to make this shave BBS and so cold and comfortable, and the Anherb conditioner moisturized my skin and provided a ton of extra cooling along with the Aqua Velva. I really enjoyed shaving this morning! ;) :D

Prep: Hot Shower-Mike’s Pine & Cedarwood Bath Soap
    Soap: Tiki-Set Sail
    Razor: Gillette Slim [6]
    Blade: Israeli Red Personna (2)
    Brush: Oscar11 TGN 2-Band Finest Badger-24mmx50mm
    Aftershave: Canoe

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

Another great shave using the Israeli Red Personna. I pulled out the Tiki Set Sail today. The Oscar11 whipped up a great lather and I got a close, smooth shave. I finished up with Canoe.

Applied a small amount of the Ogallala stick directly to face and then face lathered with DRH. Made an excellent uber-lather.

    Prep: Warm shower, Cetaphil Lotion
Razor: EJ DE89 Head w/ Weber Classic Handle
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue (2)
    Soap: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
    Brush: Semogue 830
    Post: Witch Hazel, Cetaphil Lotion
    Aftershave: Brut

Very nice, relaxing shave today. I decided to alternate my new Oscar11 boar brush and my Semogue 830. My hope is that by allowing the Oscar11 plenty of time to dry between uses, the hairs will split sooner and it will develop its bloom.

    Have a great day!

    Excellent shave
    Prep: RR/HTGAM lime menthol soap
    Soap: Synergy Cavendish
    Brush: Plisson synthetic
    Razor: SC101
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue (4)
    AS: Krampert's Finest Bay Rum

Everything worked great for an excellent shave today. The fourth shave with the lab blue was almost as good as the first, I probably could get more shaves out of it, but I'll retire it now. I don't want to push it and get a rough shave tomorrow. The scent of the Cavendish is starting to wake up more... Next time I'll let the hot water sit on it longer.

Very nice shave this morning. This DD came out of one of my hometown barbershops from when I was a kid. Have a good one. I have the original scales that just need to be straightened out a bit.

The VDH Luxury Shaving Soap face lathered with ease with my Semogue 1305 boar brush. Two passes and touch ups on the neck with the EJ89 w/ Utopia handle and Astra Superior Platinum blade gave me a close comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Dickinson's WH and Family Dollar Old Spice after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    WEDNESDAY

Outstanding 3-pass shave with a big blade this morning. I haven't used the MdC in a while, which is kind of silly as it is probably my favorite soap I have. Obviously, I've too many shaving soap options…;)

    Happy HumpDay, All!

Prep: Hot shower, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Grapefruit Mint
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (4, 5)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS
Cologne: The last of my sample of Endymion by Penhaligon's

While I didn't get any nicks or irritation, I did share the 'substandard shave' bug that appears to be going around this Hump Day. The lather from my soap was thinner than I'm used to it being, without a ready explanation other than humidity in the air, so there was less glide than I prefer. Two passes still produced acceptably DFS results, though.
