Shave: C.O. Bigelow, Edwin Jagger DE 89 with an Astra superior platinum blade (was going to use a blue bird, but I'll explain why I didn't)
Post: Cold rinse, alum block, cold rinse, Masters bay rum aftershave.

Crappy start to a great shave:
Looking forward to my morning shave I went to clean off the blade and as I took the top of the razor off with the blade I accidentally dropped them in the toilet! So, no, I didn't reuse the blue bird blade. After disinfecting the top of the razor I installed an astra superior platinum blade and went on with the shave. Shave turned out great though. Something about those astra blades that really work for my skin.

Smelling the Roses this morning. Whenever I use the Rose of Bulgaria products I think about my friend on one of the photo websites. She lives in Bulgaria and always had photos of the beautiful Roses she grew in her back yard. Funny how just the act of shaving can bring up pleasant memories; the Zen of Shaving I presume.

I am very pleased with the Schick and 3p. I'm glad I gave injectors a try. Admittedly I was hesitant about them because they look somewhat like cartridges but the performance is top notch. Very comfortable and extremely easy to use (and quick). By performance alone this razor could easily replace all my SEs but won't- my GEMs/ERs just have much more personality and better build quality.

I'm becoming a little more conflicted about this shave stick business, every time I use it. The lather never seems to look as impressive as the lather I make from traditional pucks, or from creams, but I can't complain about the performance, other than needing to reapply the stick to my face between passes. Two passes got me DFS+ results without any irritation or nicks.

This is Tim's soap. It's a Bay Rum, although not strong it's present. It lathers very easy! Rich, Slick. If you've followed his thread about this soap, you'll get how well it lathers! Dishwasher!!! It left my face very moisturized, I personally liked the subtle scent of the Bay Rum. I hope Tim brings this soap to market. I'm in.

Another DFS shave tonight. Wow I'm also extremely frozen. The Palmolive Menthol is my favorite cream and one of the most potent face freezers out there. Its freezing effect, slickness, cushion, glide, and skincare knock Proraso Green out of the park. I've been using my Schick Krona for the past few weeks. I could easily get by with that razor alone. It works really well with my stash of Polsiver SI' s, Personna Med Preps, and Feather blades. Now let me tell you about what I think about Alcolado Glacial.

That stuff is freezing! It opened up my sinuses and kind of made me paralyzed for a second. It was awesome. I will have something to keep some of this Texas heat at bay. If you're not a fan of menthol, you won't like this stuff.

 

It's an air conditioner in a bottle! lolllll

I decided to shave this evening there were "No Nick's No Weeper's" I again used the Oscar11 Custom Brush. I really like it. I was looking at something Pacific Shaving Co. Pre-Shave Oil $6.99 of a 1/2 oz. bottle. $8.49 for a 100ml bottle of Pre shave from Stirling Soap Co. So I guess the next bottle I buy will be from the Stirling Shaving Soap Co.
