Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: Jaggerooney
    Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
    Brush: Simpson Colonel X2L
    Soap: Klar Kabinett
    A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel, 4711 Splash

What a nice shave! Everything just worked well together, resulting in an irritation-free BBS shave. I really enjoy using the Klar Kabinett--it's hard to believe that it doesn't contain tallow. I decided a German splash (the 4711) would be an appropriate finish, and I wasn't disappointed.

Razor: Futur (0n 2 for the head, 4 for the face)
    Blade: Supermax stainless
    Brush: Turkish Horsehair #7
Soap: Arko pressed in an old spice mug
Finishing touch: aqua Velva , AVon ASB, Royal Copenhagen cologne

I read a review that this blade couldn't cut butter ? It is becoming my favorite head shaving blade, smooth and gentle. With blades as everything shave related, YMMV. The #7 is another Turkish horsehair brush, finally got it de-funked and gave it a whirl. I must say " it is good". 2 passes on the noggin 3 passes on the face and I've been rewarded by the shave God's with creamy lather and another BBS shave. Life is good.

    Great shaves today, gentlemen.

Switched to evening shaving and happy with it. It was a late shave yesterday so I skipped hot towel treatment...

The Fitjar products are good and soothing, but as I have such a big rotation now, it will take some time to finish the puck :)

What type of Rapiras? They have a selection of them over at razorbladesandmore.com.

Find that the China made Nanjie razor is really very aggressive compared to the EJ86. Have to really use an extremely light touch for the shave and got a BBS shave that includes all the troubled spots in 3 passes. Actually, I was thinking of even skipping the ATG pass at the end of the 2nd pass. But I still have lots of lather left, so I did the 3rd pass. No polishing at all. And I am a using a 5th shave BIC blade in it. This is crazy!!

    oh yea thats better

Ok recieved in mail my new old Fat boy took it out held it to the light. slid my Brothers merker slant to one side (loaner) slid my new 1.00 stainless bowl over.
Put a persona from bro sampler pack. Set the setting on 3. soaped up a omega boar (loaner bro) and whisked a heaping cloud of williams shaving soap .25 cents at bargin bettys in town. lathered up.
Compared to the merker this this fat boy is sweet could hardly feal setting 3 cranked it up to 5.
Now i am off goo and on to shaves that are neater cleaner more affordable.
still trying to talk bro out of merker and boar brush dont think he used it much he went back to straight part of the time and another adjustable aristocrat he found in some shop. time will tell.
And that is first shave with new Fat Boy very nice smooth not as harsh as the merker but i think i will up the setting and find a blade that works for me soon.
    be well all
    and good shaves to you

Ps will post pics when camera battery is charged on tomarrows shave or when i can.

    • Arko Shave Stick
    • Arko Nem moisturizer
    • Arko Aqua AS splash

After 3 days of exemplary shaves, with my 2 favorite DE razors, I am convinced that they can give the finest possible shaves. Both my '65 Gillette Adjustable and my '52 Black Tip Super Speed, coupled with a sharp blade will shave as close, and smooth as anyone would desire...

Today I used my Schick Injector which is also one of the finest shaving instruments ever made, capable of delivering the smoothest, closest, irritation free shaves possible. Only it does so with such aplomb as to make it seem so easy it's effortless. This morning's shave actually felt like I was using a bladeless razor as a squeegee to wipe the lather off my face only to find a BBS waiting there after rinsing...And my skin feels fabulous.

I really don't think mankind has done anything in the razor department to improve upon our quality of shave experiance since the invention of these injectors...LOL...And the genius' at Pfizer stopped making them...There has to be a message there somewhere ??

I did some extra stropping of the blade last night and was rewarded with a nice smooth 2 pass DFS shave this morning. I'm only a few days in with the Rolls, but it's a fantastic shave. I won't completely abandon my straights or DE razors for it (I like variety), but I can definitely see it earning a regular spot in rotation.

    Razor: Le Grelot 6/8
    Strop: Ambrose Spanish Horse 25/50
    Brush: Vie-Long E16510
Lather: Woods of Windsord soap + Cyril R. Salter French Vetiver cream
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
AS: La Toja Manantiales ASL + La Toja Sensitive ASB
EdT: Parfums de Nicolai Cedrat Cologne
Summary: I wanted to test my new waterstone (MST Müeller) and I have chosen a known razor, very clean and close shave, I am still learning, and I hope I can improve the edge, but for a first attempt I have a very good feedback.
The überlather is new to me, but I am imitating Robert, if it's good for him it will be good for me, and it is, the dense lather of the Woods of windsor with the "earthy" scent of the Cyril Salter cream. This way I can spend the products of my cabinet, I have too many soaps and creams....(yes SCAD and SSAD) . The La Toja Manantiales has the same scent of the regular La Toja, but less powerful, more elegant, I like a lot this scent.
