Back to my current favorites. The Lather Monster very quickly made optimal lather from Rhapsody, as usual. Der vorschlaghammer destroyed my stubble so quickly and smoothly that they didn't know what hit them. I got a small weeper on my neck from going too fast, but otherwise no drama. Russe finished off the shave right.
    Prep: Bulldog face wash
    Soap: B&M Rhapsody
    Brush: HIS XL
    Razor: Der vorschlaghammer
    Blade: voskhod (1)
    AS: B&M Cologne Russe

Mama mia - what a shave I had. The Glacial Lavender soap did everything I love. It lathered so beautifully, it gave me its awesome freezing sensation, and provided perfect skincare. What more can I want? :)

Thank you. It is my goto razor. I am going to be evaluating several blades next month, so I want to use a consistent performing razor to do it. It is so heavy I use a real light pressure, which is probably why I generally get good shaves.

    Odin's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
Soap: Ginger's Garden Oakmoss glycerin soap
    Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC
    Blade: Bic (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (7, 8, 9)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Pinaud Clubman AS splash
    Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy

I let the weepers on my upper lip heal yesterday, so there was an extra day's worth of stubble to tackle. I again had to use more water than I anticipated with the Oakmoss, but it rewarded me with very good lather. The Bic, though still performing well, is starting to show minor signs of age. This time, I consciously reminded myself to use less pressure than I thought I needed on the ATG pass of my upper lip, and wound up with a BBS shave with no weepers. I decided to celebrate by going back to the Xeryus for a second time this week. :)

    Gem Contour razor
    CVS carbon steel blade
    Schick I2 razor
    Personna blade
    Williams SS (modern stuff)
    Omega 10065 brush
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel/Sage mix
    Barbasol Brisk A/S

Tried the Contour with no joy, just wouldn't shave well. Tried different angles/etc and just didn't work. Had also tried it over the past weekend with a stainless blade with the same results. It's a shame cuz I wanted it to work. So I went to the trusty I2 and ended up with a fine shave.

Lather – Strop Shoppe Baker Street
Post - Witch Hazel and Floid Amber Sample

Very near BBS 2 pass shave this morning. I was a little careless with and ended up with a nick above my lip. I have to remember that these Super Pro blades make the razor more aggressive. The SS Baker Street was easy to lather and paired well with the Floid Amber.

Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Shield Face Wash
    Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89/MR5 handle
    Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium
    Brush: L'Occitane Plisson
    Lather: Cella
    Post: Alum. Thayers Cucumber WH.
    Aftershave: Folsom & Co. Capri
Yeah baby! This Cella is at least two years old and no longer is a soft soap, with some of the moisture out it performs spectacular! This razor combo works beautifully. Polsilver are a good blade, not a blade worth 34cents IMO. Folsom & Co. They get it!
    Go out and get it

Rustic Mahogany today (starting my 2nd tin). 20 seconds to load the ER Silvertip. Great, easy, thick, lather. I loaded a new Rapira Swede in the Slim. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with CC Southern Oud.

Today I did a combination of AOS sandalwood with MDC for a great smelling and extremely cushioned lather. Of course, I followed it with some TSD Sandalwood cologne. 3 passes and smooth as silk.
