• Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
• Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse, hand strop blade and reload upside-down, DVH alum

DVH & GEM day today: brush, soap & alum - GEM razor & blade. Great combo: very close shave. Yummy!

Scored a mighty nick on my bottom lip. The blade had a slight overhang on the far side of the safety bar - from being over injected - so to speak. Felt the cut as it happened doing an XTG. Styptic to the rescue. All good in the end.

I picked up the Wilkinson blades at Pasteurs Pharmacy last week. It's the white box with the red and blue stripe "Saloon pack" 5 tucks of 10 blades ea, (50 blades) for $1.29 I thought it was a mistake, but that's the price. I still can't believe it! $1.29!!!!

First shave tonight in almost two weeks.

Prep: hot shower, TBS Tea Tree Face Wash.
Brush: Vulfix Burlington.
Razor: Gillette Aluminum Ball End Tech.
Soap: MWF (first time ever.)
Post: cold water rinse, Thayer's WH Lavender, Barbon AS, Axe Cooling AS Gel.

Well, I had a dangerous encounter with Proraso Green a couple of weeks ago. I just used clippers and kept some stubble for the past 10 days or so. This was also my first use of MWF. I don't have a verdict on it yet, but it seemed to do alright. I hope it doesn't irritate my face like Proraso. If it does, it's going up for sale or trade ASAP.

Once again, another Cracky Wacky Ticky Tacky Menthol Extravaganza with some of the most frigid products you can find. The NXT wash is not even mentholated but it gives a very mild cooling effect. Then we have the Palmolive Cool cream which is the Balkan version of Palmolive Menthol from Italy, and that stuff has the identical freeze, awesome lather, and nice scent. After that, the Diana Sport balsam hits you with a menthol punch that can be painful if you can't tolerate it, and last but not least we have the famous Rubby Dubby Doo which is the Mother of All Menthol Aftershaves. Man, was this shave ever nice and BBS!

Woke up late today, but was still able to have a fantastic shave this morning. First shave with the new Semogue 1800 gifted to me by Oscar11.

The Old Type doesn't deliver quite as close a shave as my R41, but it is super comfortable especially paired with the Voskhod blade. The Semogue 1800 has roughly the same hair as the 2000 and is just entering the feathery tips stage. The Klar never disappoints me. I look forward to many more shaves with this combination.

Love that Jasmine scent! With all the flowering trees and bushes around the house at this time of year, the air is filled with many wonderful scents. The Jasmine is a personal favorite of mine and Classic Shaving makes a very good Jasmine Shave Soap. The Personna Medical blade and the NEW OC left no doubt who is the master on the whisker wars!
