Good morning friends. Today's iced water shave is the best shave i've ever had in my life! The Schick Twin blade feels better to me on the second day, i didn't even feel the blade on my face. Skin feel is beautiful throughout the shave and post shave it's soft and moisturized. I feel confident saying that after two days of the ice experiment, this is the way i want to shave from now on. The whiskers come off easy and these two shaves have been dolphin smooth with little effort. Did i say i love the N1? I also absolutely love this Arko stick! Perfect lather, and i don't find it drying like so many. Have a great shave and a great day folks.

Hello TSD - I had a nice, relaxed Sunday shave - #5 of my April Straight Razor Focus



- Jeeves of Hudson Street "Turkish Bath"
- Jayaruh #58
- Eduard Wirz 5/8 wedge
- Tüff sensitiv Rasierwasser

Decided on a little change in scent today, so I switched from JoHS "Conservatory" to "Turkish Bath". Very nice Barbershop smell, similar to Stirling's, but a little less sweet and with a chocolaty touch. Performance is top notch as usual with Jeeve's soaps.

One pass with the straight doesn't do much for me in terms of reduction, so I dropped that plan and performed another two-pass-shave, both passes a mix between WTG and XTG. Nice and smooth, no injuries. Feels BBS with the grain, not so much against the grain - especially around the jawline. But I recognize some improvement regarding the irritation level: I did not feel the aftershave at all today.

Now that the gremlin is gone I have two shaves left in this tub. The end is in sight!
Btw...forgot to include my Omega brush in the pic...

 

Guys, I changed my soap choice today because I have to use stuff which I haven't touched in a long time so instead of Proraso Green I used Cella. No regrets because it lathers great, smells great, and feels great afterwards. It was wonderful to use my Super Speed which helped me get BBS so easily, and the Black Powder aftershave gave me a hell of a good menthol slap with its lovely scent which has awesome longevity!

today´s shave was a very fine one. Here is what i´ve used:

Very very good shave. The razor is i think my best one. Very gentle and thoroughly. The soap smells very good and together with the Aftershave it give´s my skin a lot of care. Great.

Now i´m going to one of the biggest soccer matches here in Germany...Schalke vs. Dortmund...hope Schalke will do a good job today.

Subpar shave
I tried out a cream today that contains lots of great ingredients, including tea tree, menthol and açai (though I don't know what benefit the latter offers). It is a smear and go latherless cream. I used a thin layer of pre shave oil to start, then applied the cream. The directions say to wait a bit to let the ingredients do their work. While I waited, the menthol cooled my skin. The first pass was easy and I noticed that this cream needs hot water to rinse off the razor. My usual cold water just made a mess. I re-smeared for each pass and got a close shave on my face, but irritation on my neck. I don't know if I should blame the cream or if the PSO interfered somehow, so I'll have to do this again to make sure. The cream seems slick enough, but I wasn't sure how much to put on, so I might have over done it a bit. The scent is minty and not too medicine-like. I used B&M Classic Splash to soothe my neck, which it did very well.

Beautiful combo with the V3A and the UFO kaizer handle. The V3A is a favorite of mine, the angle is picky and it requires a light touch.
EDIT: Check the blade alignment, these are known to have some play.
