Wednesday, another Micromatic. By now it's no surprise to pick up an SE razor I haven't used before and get a DFS. This was the last untried Micromatic I had, a Clog-Pruf. I'm not crazy about the smell of the Musgo cream, but I've gotten used to it and it works well.

Hot Shower Glycerin Pre-shave Frederick Reynolds Chopper Semogue 1305 Palmolive Shave Stick Mentholated WH British Sterling AS This wedge is kind of tricky. From the lack of feedback you'd think this thing was dull or wasn't cutting anything. Not so, I was BBS in two passes. I like the heft of this one but prefer the feedback of my hollow grounds. Either way, I don't suppose you can argue with results and feedback or no this razor delivers some fantastic shaves.

Tuesday Night Shave Razor - '67 Slim Blade - Rapira (3) Preshave - AOS PS oil Soap - TSD Lemongrass SS Brush - Trumper Pure Badger Aftershave - Swiss Pitralon 5 out of 5 razors = BBS! Experimented with gentler settings on the Slim, threw in an extra pass (WTG on 3, WTG on 3, XTG on 2), and attempted to face lather the TSD soap, and it all came together magically! I think i need to keep that extra WTG pass in my routine from now on, and stop rushing so much! After all that, i even experimented with my post shave ritual... typically i use a splash or milk and follow it with a moisturizer or heavier balm to prevent my face from flaking... but I threw on some Pitralon (which does not smell good, in my opinion, haha), and somehow I just knew my face wasn't gonna need any extra moisture. Normally it only takes 5 minutes for my face to dry out and peel after a shave or wash, but I made it all the way through to the morning with only the slightest dry patch on one cheek. I now see why so many love the Pitralon (seeing as that scent is particularly unlovable).
