Prep: hot shower, Neutrogena Face Wash.
    Brush: Turkish #6 Brush.
Razor: '62 Gillette Slim set on 5 for the first pass, 3 for the second pass.
    Blade: Polsiver SI.
    Cream: Biotique Palmyra.
Post: cold water rinse, Aqua Velva, Myrsol Emulsion.

I don't think the SI is a good blade for my Slim. I tried to give it another chance, but it failed. I haven't been getting good shaves recently. Something is throwing off my shaves. I have a lot of stress in my life, so maybe it's affecting my shaves and other activities. All in all, I am presentable with some irritation just above my Adam's apple.

It should have "Special A" stamped on the face side of the shank. At any rate, all of the Geneva's are excellent. (That's why they are so hard to find!) ;)

It doesnt say Special A , it says Genco DE ROMA. Its hard sto see as I havent even clened it up other than a quick wipe off of scales and blade. Here are 2 pics:

Actually I had picked up this and a red KAMA. I was most excited about the KAMA and going to get it cleaned up and shave ready first. I was very excited to use it. Now , because of your post , I have a change of plans and this guy will get the first touch of face!

It's really good. I like the gel consistency. It makes it easier to control the amount I use. It's also extremely cooling which I love.

    Birthday shave
After reading about lesser known artisans yesterday, I decided to use GreenShave Eucalyptus croap today. It's a solid performer with Shea butter and other face friendly ingredients. It's also efficient, since it takes very little product to make a nice lather with my HIS brush. My cheeks have a comfortable BBS, but, like many of us, my neck remains my problem area. I think I'm going to cut back to one pass on my neck for the next two days, then force myself to skip shaving on Saturday in order to fully heal.
That last sentence feels strange to write for someone who hated shaving as recently as last summer. This hobby/addiction has really changed how I feel about shaving and has improved my grooming overall as well - not that I was some sort of pig before, but now I think differently about scents and deodorants and hair care, too.
    Prep: RR/HTGAM pre-shave soap
    Croap: GreenShave eucalyptus
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft 101
    Blade: Gillette SE yellow (3)
AS: Krampert's Finest Bay Rum, Shea Moisture balm on my neck

Thanks to my dear friend Ryan who introduced me to Rod's great soaps I have this wonderful MITA which smells so nice and lathers like a maniac, with a powerful menthol effect and perfect skincare. The witch hazel and the Barbon aftershave gave me a great feeling which made this awesome shave all the more enjoyable. ;) :D

    Prep: Warm shower, Cetaphil Lotion
Razor: EJ DE89 Head w/ Weber Classic Handle
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue (5)
    Cream: Arko Ice Mint
    Brush: Semogue 830
    Post: Witch Hazel, Cetaphil Lotion
    Aftershave: British Sterling

I think I pushed the Personna one too many times. I still finished with an excellent shave, but it just wasn't as sharp as I would have liked.

    Have a great day!

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: Aristocrat TTO Open Comb
    Blade: Astra SP (day 3)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Soap: Proraso white
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Proraso Blue

It wasn't a fresh blade, but I loaded up an Astra SP in the Aristocrat for today's shave. Much smoother then the Merkur. I didn't get quite the lather explosion I did yesterday, but still had more then I needed for a two pass shave.

Another good shave today. The TABAC shaving soap is so easy to face lather with my Frank Shaving finest badger brush. Two passes with the Cadet TP-30 and an Astra Superior Platinum blade left me with a near BBS shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off this fine shave with Dickinson's WH and Pinaud Clubman after shave. Yesterday, after the shave, I stropped the blade on my forearm. Today's shave was noticeably smoother. So, I stropped it again. We will see how it is tomorrow.
