First shave since Thursday and the result was one of the best I've ever had. I have found that the Proraso Pre/Post works really well if I don't scrimp and apply a liberal amount. The AS Splash is also a wonderful way to finish off.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Used the slant once more yesterday, and I think that one's done with. A pretty good shaver, but nothing special. Not as aggressive as I thought it might be, although it left me with a little closer results than most razors. Heh, not the best model to push the envelope with, but no problem if technique is good.

First time ever using this model razor today, and it is one aggressive little scamp. No problem with the short handle, and the weight is good on this thing. It has some heft to it, plus the balance is better than usual. This is also a razor where the 'no pressure' mantra is in effect......heh.

Sadly for me, I'd rank this razor on the higher end of OC types I've tried. I had to really go slowly, and was very aware of the blade on my face. No room for error with this little potential blood letter. Ended up with two small weepers, and considered myself lucky. A very close, but almost not worth the effort shave this morning.

Heh, to make up for my less than pefect shave, I splurged and sprayed on some of Colleen's EdT. I have only enough left for maybe 3-4 uses, which really is a sad thing. This is probably my favorite fragrance of any I've ever sniffed from any vendor or company. No telling when it will become available again..........sigh.

You guys are 1,000% right--it is a treasure! They can have their Trumpers and Taylors and T&H and DR Harris, and even their Institut Karite and Pre de Provence. I will stick to this Dutch wonder soap! No disrespect meant to any 3 T's lover, or DR Harris fan, or these 2 other good French soaps, I just have my preferences like everybody.
