  1. Norseman

Norseman misunderstood Dark Lord of the Sith

Lol, you are absolutely right. And in a way I am looking forward to it.
In Norway (and maybe in the rest of the world for all I know) we have this concept, the 40 year crisis. That's when men leaves their wives, buy a sport car and do a lot of other interesting/stupid things.
Now, I have no plans on leaving the Norsewoman. I can be rather stupid, but not that stupid. But I like the idea of doing all kinds of ridiculous stuff and just blaming it on this "crisis"

That being said, as a norseman I too really ought to know how to slalom or cross county skiing. Skiing and winter activities is our national sports (just check out the medal standings in the winter olympics) and I just suck at it. Probably the worst skier in our history since the danish king Kamelåså tried to ski across Norway by putting the ski's on backwards.

:Animatedfrozensmily:Shave of the day, menthol edition

Pre- Hot shower, Anna and Claras bath soap Sandalwood
Soap/cream- Vulfix Luxury shaving cream Sicilian Lime PLUS 3 drops of TSD M-Bomb
    Brush- Turkish No6 boar
Razor- WEBER polished head stainless steel
    Blade- Gillette silver blue
Post- Cold water rinse, Pinaud Clubman Classic vanilla aftershave lotion PLUS 1 drop of TSD M-Bomb and Nivea sensitive cooling aftershave balm with 1 drop of TSD M-Bomb

WOWZA… Menthol blast! I dont know why I’m on such a menthol high these past two days. But I outdid myself today.. Im still feeling the menthol on my face 15 minutes after . I have never used my Sicilian Lime with the m-bomb but its a WINNER for sure.

My result from blade testing, Personna lab blue VS Gillette silver blue. *Drumroll* GSB WINS =) I would definitely be able of buy 100 pack of personna but I give the edge to GSB hehe!

Clubman vanilla smells amazing! And nivea nourishing as always =)

Comments: Had a two day growth and the Wolfman took it off like nobody's business in two passes plus a little clean up. The Proraso White soap was very good as usual. It lathered easy and gave me a great slick protective shave, the scent was pleasant and post feel is also very good! I did get a very good shave today and my usual DFS shave! No irritation or weepers!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!

    Thx.

What will I use Thursday morning - let's see:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/Personna day 4
Proraso Green SS :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Gold Bond Moisturizer :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Proraso Green AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Fahrenheit EdT

Not an extremely cold selection but still cold enough to satisfy my menthol needs. The Proraso Green soap is a bowl from the older formulation and to be honest, I like it very much. It gives me great lather with its nice, traditional scent and the well-known cooling sensation so typical of the Proraso Green line along with good skincare. The Personna blades deserve all the praise they could get - they're awesome, at least where I'm concerned. The Proraso Green aftershave is another chiller which I really enjoy. ;) :D

    This morning's shave 8-12-15:
Hot Shower prep with Neutrogena for Men Invigorating Face Wash and for Art of Shaving Sandalwood for the other areas
Razor - Gillette Ball End Tech circa 1946 - 49'
    Blade - Voskhod (6)
    Brush - Parker Best Badger
    Soap - Proraso White
    Bowl - Fine Lather
Warm rinse, alum block then cool rinse
Finished up with Neutrogena Razor Defense Post Shave Lotion
Four pass for a nice irritation free BBS

I know I have not tried a lot of diffrent soaps but the Proraso White is one of my favorites. It has a great scent and a nice clean feel on my face. Lather's up thick. It is the one I go to most often when I want to go four passes or to give my face a gentle touch.

    Thursday's
    ZCOLDWATER1.jpg

    Dove Men Face Wash
Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #4 High Mtn.
    Gem Featherweight
    Treet Super SE
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Clubman

The Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #4 High Mountain Badger brush. Two passes with my Gem Jr Parade razor and a Treet Super SE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
