    Hello again Friends,

on a rainy day i just ended my Sunday shave.

I took my time, enjoyed what i was doing, listend to good music in the background and had a nice fresh roasted (black) coffee to my shave. Very enjoyable!!!

After a hot shower (and a face wash with my green Seba-Med soap-->with Aloe Vera and Olive-Oil) i started shaving with the following:

-Kays exclusive shaving soap with the scent "Midnight rose"
    -26mm custom Olive-wood 2-band brush (by Nightdiver)
    -Gillette Platinum blade in 3-passes
    -Merkur 34c
    -Floid "The Genuine" Aftershave

Like i said,i enjoyed my shave.I used one of my 2 new custom made brushes today and it was wonderful. It´s such a big thing to hold...WOW!!! Very soft tips and enough backbone to have a good skin feel.Just as i like it.The soap was made by Nightdiver too.A member in our german forum who has done the 2 brushes for me.I am the first one to try his homemade shaving soap.:happy093: It´s a very nice rose scent with something "dark" and "earthy" in the background.I like it.The skin feel is very good,it softens the whiskers wonderful. For me the scent could be a little more powerful...but that´s me.Everyone is different.:)

So,do i have to say and write something additional...let me think...no!!! I´m done.:)

So Ladies and Gentleman, enjoy your time, take care of you and have a very good start into the new week.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

I know how you feel about the Palmolive cream Dodi. I agonized over my decision to leave my Palmolive Menthol in Florida. But at least I have a great cream to shave with when I visit my parents' condo. ;)

Yesterday was the first time in ages that I did not shave. Usually if I skip a day I will use the Mergress dialed way up, but today I wanted to take my time and try a different approach. I put a fresh Feather in the Tech and decided to go for a slow shave.

The results are good, although it did take a lot of work. Three full passes, j-hooks and what seemed like a very long time spent on buffing gave me close to a perfect shave.

    Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Barbasol was for my noggin with the Aristocrat. It's official, 3 shaves in, I have zero desire to touch my other razors. Gillette came up with a real winner here in every respect, now I just have to find another as backup. argh!

    Hungarian Lavender

    Conclusion Day 2:
Wow...This scent is amazing! This is a flowery and herbaceous blend with a hint of camphor, which balances quite nice with the other notes. The scent packs plenty of punch, powerful while lathering and shaving, but again doesn't interfere with after shaves or colognes. I am a lover of Lavender scents and this will be a serious contender in the next competition (Lavender Fields). As you can see in the picture, I deviated from my rules slightly since I actually purchased this in a tin. The sample will be used for a PIF or something else. It seems to me that the soap performed even even better when lathering with the tin verses a sample in the OS mug. The lather was very rich and creamy with plenty of dense cushioning and super slickness. A great soap to be sure. The next (2) days of this review will have to wait for a while as I need to fly to Vancouver to see my father who is sick in the hospital. Have a great week all!

Chris, I agree with you on the scent of the Mike's Hungarian Lavendar. It does pack a punch! If one enjoys lavendar, it's all there in spades!
My wife loves the scent, but I—unfortunately—am not as ardent a fan. So she inherited the sample from my collection. Potent stuff, though, and very good lather!

Tons of lather with the Williams today. It provided a luxurious, slick, worry-free shave, and this Gillette SS with the Wilkie is a winning combination.
