Hot Shower followed by Proraso pre shave cream
    W&B for Barber’s use circa 1845
    SRD Silver tip brush
    C.O Bigelow shaving cream
    Proraso Splash.

Honing regiment: The temptation was great so I yielded to it. I honed the W&B on the full range of Naniwas . The first order of business was to establish the bevel, I accomplished this with the 1K with slurry from a Norton prep stone. No problem there, the blade was shaving arm hair, and true to a wedge it did it silently. There were some micro ships toward the toe of the blade, I had to work those out to get to “clean metal” the rest was a down-hill battle with the rest of the Naniwas sharpening and polishing the bevel, it now looks like a mirror, thought I need to do some minor work towards the very tip of the blade.
Results: I shaved last night; so pardon me for posting in today’s SOTD. This magnificent blade gave me a BBS shave, and I am not going to need a shave until tomorrow morning. The blade is heavy, very heavy it glided without much effort and shaved two day’s growth of stubble as if shaving “peach fuzz”. I have to admit that I am very happy with the results, this old blade is over 165 years old and it still delivers. SHAVE ON. HOG

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/Personna day 6
    Arko Moist SC
    Keri unscented moisturizer
    Nord-ost AS Balsam :love055::love055::love055::smiley freezing:
    JHL Cologne

By itself, the Arko Moist cannot give enough cooling to satisfy a menthol freak like me. Although it does contain menthol, it is hardly noticeable, so the Nord-ost balsam was necessary to boost the effect. Today's shave was a 3 pass pleasure. The Personna blade however, is ready for retirement. ;)

    • Prep: Hot shower, California Baby face wash, hand strop blade
    • Lather: Real Shaving Co. Sensitive
    • Brush: Semogue 1250 (Thanks John!)
    • Razor: Gem OCMM
    • Blade: Walgreen's Gem (6), 2 passes
    • Post: WH, Aqua-Velva Ice Blue, hand strop blade
    • Cold water shave
Another great performance from the OCMM despite a poor lather. It was my first time using the Semogue 1250 (Thanks John!) & I definitely do not know the complete workings of this brush yet. I may have to bowl lather some more before I can get a good face lather from this little piggy.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: EJ Chatsworth
    Blade: Treet Durasharp
    Brush: Vie-Long Gonzalo Horse/Boar
    Soap: Proraso (green tub)
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Proraso Splash

The same excellent shave as yesterday, but with a different brush, razor, and blade. I forgot to soak the Gonzalo while showering, but it still performed well. It's a very impressive brush, IMO, for 18 bucks.

Better hotel coffee, still moving up in the world.
Lord Tech w/ Lord Platinum (D3)
    Omega travel brush-face lather
    Palmolive Stick
    AG-Proraso ASB

A fine three pass shave with one touch-up spot on the jawline. Easily DFS. The neck-jawline-chin area seems to be getting better each time.
The palmolive stick just works great for me, not fancy-very functional. I'm diggin it.

Coffee: Organic Espresso by Fidalgo Bay
    Soap: Cella
    Brush: Omega Lucretia Borgia
    Razor: EJ DE89l
    Blade: Iridium (3)
    Aftershave: TSD unscented aftershave milk

It's been a while since I used Cella, and I had forgotten how much I like that soap. Thick lather with little effort, great cushion and glide for the blade, nice low key almond fragrance, and leaves the face feeling like I put lotion on. BBS all the way again today!

    Razor: Merkur HD
    Blade: Gillette Yellow
    Brush: Thater Porter
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: Italian Palmolive with Menthol
    A/S: Alt Innsbruck

It is shaping up to be a warm one today so I decided to menthol-up. The Porter and Italian Palmolive ginned up a great lather and the Merkur HD with a fresh Gillette Yellow blade easily mowed down the two day growth leaving me with a smooth face. The Alt Innsbruck remains a favorite.

Yes, you're right, Stefan, I've got one from your parcel! For now I'm opening new items by one at a time, when I finish something similar in my current rotation. I meant, when I finish my current Tabac SC tube (about 1/8 left), I'll grab the stick you sent me :) . Is Tabac the stick is the same soap as Tabac in bowl? And thank you very much for the great Rebell razor, btw, it is a fantastic shaver, with very sharp and smooth edge! It is in my current rotation and will stay there.

    Late night shave again.
    Merkur 23C/Derby#4 (or 5?)
    Vie-Long horsehair brush
    Painted ceramic bowl
    Valobra Menthol soap (LOVE IT!!!)
    Mayor Energy Platinum splash

    What a great combo! I don't know why, but I better bowl-lather then face-lather when shave half-asleep.

-I have not been able to get a good lather from the JB soap until today. I'm not sure if it's the boar brush or the third use where that
new soap film has been removed. More experimentation will tell.

I was afraid of having something forgotten :D
The Tabac stick and the puck are the same soaps. I'm glad you like the little Rebell.

    Today's shave:
    Ingram brushless SC
    Apollo OC with Swedish Gillette
    Alcream ASC

It's really amazing what good shaves the Ingram provides me. But, unfortunately, it has a little much menthol for me and so I don't use it very often.
