I was very excited for today's shave, as it was my first uncorking of the T&H that I'd gotten as a gift last night. By golly it did not disappoint. First off, the scent is just...wonderful. Just wonderful. I only used a tiny amount but good a good amount of thick delicious lather. The only drawback was that I enjoyed putting it on my face so much that I kept going and wound up doing 2 passes more than usual. Which led to some irritation, bloodletting - the usual symptoms of over shaving. It was my first time using any creams/soaps from the super luxury dept., and it did not disappoint. I'll have to give it a couple more days before I declare that it's better than my Maca Root cream from the Body Shop which has been my favorite for a while, or the Bigelow which I've been loving more and more recently, but it seems like it may happen...so overall shave: 3/5. overall shaving experience:5/5

Shave Of The Day ~ August 19th

    • Hot Shower
    • E.J. Badger Brush
    • TSD Wheat Cream ~ 2X Iced Orange Scent ~ :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
    • Clix Razor
    • Voskhod Blade - Day 1
    • Thayer's Witch hazel/Osage Rub Blend
    • TSD Aftershave Splash ~ 2X Iced Orange ~ :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
Testing a new to me blade means going to s setup that I know how it will perform, and for me that is the Clix razor and TSD Wheat Cream of some sort.

My first ever shave with the much touted Voskhod blade is in the books.

This was so hilarious - I first of all had a fantastic shave with the Gada Cool Mint cream, which I think is so great. In fact, I'm sending a couple of tubes of it to some friends of mine here in the Group. Now, for the funny part. After I rinsed off and dried off, I put on the moisturizer, I slapped on the Mennen stuff, and out of nowhere, my 125 pound German Shepherd jumped on me, and started to lick my face - now, that's love! ;):happy102:

Still not a fan of shave sticks, but this stuff smells and lathers up nice. I'll keep it as a stick just to use it as such every once in a while.

Plan on hitting a few antique shops while we're up this way. Hopefully I'll score.

He's a fantastic dog - he also adores our little daughter. He's her bodyguard. You cannot go near her if you don't know her when he's around, because he'll tear you to pieces literally. He sleeps every night on the floor at the side of her bed, and when she wakes up in the morning, he sits near her, and he licks her face, and she kisses and hugs him.
