Beautiful shave. Tiki 1920's Barber Shoppe is a classic scent, easy to lather, post shave is dynamite! I'm going to be using my Omega 10098 for a week or two, want to break this beast in. Mongoose Razor. It's changed the way I shave.

This Copper Hat Unscented shave soap is absolutely delightful. Easy to lather, Good lubrication, no scent (always a bonus)...and it leaves my face feeling nourished and moisturized. Really a top shelf soap. Nice way to start a Friday! I am ready for the weekend!

I nearly went for Day 6 with the previous Bic in the RAKE this AM, but thought better of it, after realizing that level of frugality was arguably saving me less than a cent for two passes that seemed likely to produce a little razor burn. Instead, I loaded up a fresh Bic and got three super-smooth passes; the second was so quiet I double-checked the lather on the razor to make sure I was cutting anything. One tiny weeper to the left of my Adam's Apple, where I often get them, but otherwise I got nearly BBS results.

turned out to be a pretty good shave. seems like the nobody needs me til I've got lather on my face. mentholated sandalwood is an odd mix, but it did ok. three passes for a nice shave. finished with iced musk,I thought it complemented the sandalwood nicely.
hope y'all did as well, or better.

 

FRIDAY
Early morning shave using one of my favorites, the vintage Böhler-Stahl. Smaller than some of the big blades I've been using these past few days (3/4" wide or bigger), this razor is nimble and efficient. The round point takes away some of the potential of harm and allows for a rather quick 3-passes. A truly DFS!

Fougére Fatboy Friday
I have used Clubman a few times, and I thought it reminded me of B&M Classique Fougére. I was wrong. The B&M is a much richer and complex scent, with a whole lot less alcohol. Clubman has a nice scent, but ultimately I think it is too much of a stinger for me.

I picked up some Dove Men+Care Face Wash to try and it feels good and does not irritate my rosacea. I used the last of my Tabac cream to make überlather with B&M Fougére Imperial and the results were spectacular. The Colonel made very thick and slick lather to prepare my stubble for its doom. The Fatboy made a smooth first pass set on nine that felt great, even in the area of my neck that has been tender for two days now. Subsequent passes were made set on seven and went just as smoothly because I really took care to use good technique. I finished up with B&M Fougére Tonique after whiffing it and Clubman on my hands to help make my choice. The Shea Moisture balm sealed in the moisture without getting in the way of the aftershave scent. What a great, drama free BBS!

Stirling Ozark Mountain today. Easy, thick, lather with the ER Silvertip. Gillette “Spoiler” SS still in the Fatboy. Great smooth, close, shave. I finished with Pitralon Classic.

Happy Friday! The Don Donato was whipped into a nice and thick lather by the #6 brush. The Senator and the Jordan did their jobs well. The AV and the Gravity were a nice finish to this Darn Fine Shave.

Whipped up the TOB Grapefruit in a minute with the Fuller Amber. Nice slick cushion and I really like the scent. I really like the slim and next to my FB it is my go to razor. The heavy handle and head gave me a nice smooth shave with no pressure with a Feather blade set on 5. The Shea Mango for the pre-shave helped give me a nice no burn shave. With the slick lather and sharp blade on (3), I can buff the area on the right side of my neck. The Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera felt good on my face and that natural scent was nice and fresh. After clean up, I smoothed on some Jack Black, and then some vintage Old Spice, ahhhh! I compared this scent to the scent from another bottle from the same year, and to me they are the same. Y'all have a good one.
