    Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Anna and Claras bath soap Sandalwood
    Soap/cream- Martin de Candre fougere
    Brush- Plisson synthetic
Razor- WEBER polished head stainless steel
    Blade- Gillette silver blue(2)
Post- Cold water rinse, Dr Harris sandalwood aftershave lotion, Crabtree and Evelyn Sandalwood aftershave balm and Nivea sensitive cooling aftershave balm

On my way to a birthday party. I had to rush my shave a little so It wasn't as relaxing as I would have liked it to be but oh well.. It happens.

MdC performed amazingly, damn! It was a while ago since I used it. Why? You ask.. I have no idea. I've been giving other soaps some love. But when it counts I choose MdC, always!

DR Harris and Crabtree and Evelyn sandalwood makes me smell NICE! I always get compliments that I smell good when I use them.

    Prep: Shower
    Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable (5)
    Blade: Voskhod (3)
    Brush: Omega 13109
Lather: Maggard London Barbershop Shave Soap
Post: Cold rinse, Alum, Witch Hazel, Proraso Green AS

I can't believe how close I shaved today. Setting 5 gave me a great BBS that I haven't experienced in awhile. I should use my badger more often with soaps. Got a nice creamy lather from the Maggard Barbershop.

Will give setting 6 a go on Monday. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Look at this, look at this pitiful little soap. I've used Mr. PLANofMAN's hydration method on it, and it bloomed up perfectly.
But due to neglect and my lack of interest this soap it has shrunk down to almost nothing and now resembles Rick Moranis' kids.
I've tried to reverse the process by letting it soak for a good week, but I guess it is giving me the proverbial finger and telling me I had my chance, and blew it.

    MWF.JPG

That being said, after reading a few thread were this soap has been discussed, I decided I was going to give it a try anyway. And I have to admit that it gave me a pretty decent shave. Not the thickest of lather, but we already knew that. But a slick wholesome shaveable lather.
The scent is boring, but somewhat pleasant so I cannot in good conscience, complain about that.
It reputation for skin care is probably not unfounded. I've never been too hung up on that, but I have to admit that my skin feels pretty great. I haven't used a moisturizer, just the regular, good old Lucido aftershave.

I used the Astra blade for the third time today, This time I used my Gillette Super Speed and once again the Astra blade finished in style. Just as sharp and smooth as the first time I used it. I'm a bit amazed that I had placed this in the mediocre category. I think I've said that in every post these last three times, but it bears repeating so that I don't forget again.

    Razor: Gillette Super Speed
    Blade: Astra Platinum (3)
    Brush: Merkur Futur
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Aftershave: Lucido

Thanks, I am but a small timer, compared to the majority of the posters here, but I'm pretty happy with the Futur set.

But your one to talk. That Weber of yours makes me drool like Homer Simpson. And I don't even have that razor aquisition disorder that is so common in this place :)

Moving the FB to #7 made a huge difference in my shave this evening. Probably the best shave I've ever had. (BBS) The Fendrihen brush is a great brush and with the Proraso cream I had a outstanding lather.
Lucky Tiger is a excellent A/S.
