In honor of Kerry's birthday today, I slept in…….:p
Birthday blessings to you today, my friend, and have a wonderful day!

    SATURDAY
    Mid-morning Shave
Easy-peasy 3-pass shave this morning using the Worcester & MdC Fougére.
I used up the last of my original bottle of homemade Bay Rum…now I have to locate where I put the last remaining bottle.
The first bottle of BR has lasted well over a year—so it looks like I'm still set with plenty of 'Black River' for another 12 months—providing I find the bottle..
    ;)

    Prep: Warm shower, Cetaphil Lotion
    Razor: Gem Junior
    Blade: Personna SS (2)
    Lather: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
    Brush: Oscar11 w/ Omega 20248 Knot
    Post: Witch Hazel, Cetaphil Lotion

I got a very, very close shave. It might be a little too close. I have a little tenderness. I'm still figuring out how to use a SE razor.

    Have a great day!

    Saturday Morning Shave....

    Pre: Shower and hot water
    Razor: Cadet OC
    Blade: Shark
    Cream: TOBS Eton College
    Brush: Omega 10049
    Post: Alum block, Pinaud Clubman

Not a good shave! I should've left it at 2 passes, because the third sliced my neck like a cheese grater. Have to watch it with the Cadet OC's. Hence, the alum block, which I usually don't go for but do keep on hand for shaves like this! Too bad really, because I've been digging the combined smell of Eton College and Clubman, but the alum and rinse from it wiped most of that smell out. My first instinct was to go use the Gem G-Bar, and now I'm wishing I had.

    Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower + Homemade preshave oil

    Soap/cream- Barrister & Mann Lime/lavender/cedarwood

    Brush- Turkish #6

    Razor- Gem Micromatic Open comb

    Blade- Gem stainless steel(2)

Post- Cold water rinse, alum block, Old Spice whitewater and Nivea aftershave balm

Second shave with the MMOC. A good shave, with a little burning. That is going away. Didnt try to get as close as possible. I want to go a few shave without razor bumps or irritation the day after.

But I really enjoy the MMOC, i did get some tuggig but i know that that might be because of the angle. I will learn the proper angle in time =D

What a great shave....;) Looks like Aftershave overkill, but really not. The AV just makes my face feel perfect, but the scent fades so fast, I love it, wish it didn't...but....One hour later, just the Pinaud lingers...with maybe just a hint of AV ?

Have a Great Saturday Everybody !!

    Frank Shaving Finest Badger
    Gillette NEW LC
    Gillette 7 O'Clock Green

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face-lathered very easily with my Frank Shaving Finest Badger brush. Two passes with my Gillette NEW LC and a Gillette 7 O'Clock Green blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    SUNDAY
    A TwoFer Evening shave

Since I spent some time today honing a couple of razors (see all the gory details HERE), I wanted to try them both out! Big difference in size and feel between the two razors. I did a standard 3-pass shave, alternating razors on either side of my face with each pass. To top it off, I used my new brutally-cold Stirling 'Glacial Obsidian' anise-scented soap. :smiley freezing:
Regarding the soap: with Stirlings, the key seems to be presoaking the puck in order to get the best lather. I did this, and had no issues in generating a thick, heavily-mentholated lather. A big chill, certainly, but not an uncomfortable, eye-stinging experience.
Happily, the shave went without incident. It just took some adjustment on my part going between 'The Odd Couple' of razordom. Both performed admirably, with the W&B the more easier to navigate around the tight spots. Preference? If I had to chose just one of the two, I have a soft spot for the bigger razors so I'd have to go with the big Rodgers.

    Have a blessed Sunday, everyone!

    Sunday Morning Shave
    Razor:
    Gillette Slim (5)
    Blade: ASCO (2)
    Brush: Vie-Long White Horse Hair
    Cream: Nivea
    Cologne: Tariş Lemon

Yesterday, I went to a beach in west coast of Turkey to swim and spend time with my friends. Although I applied a quality sun cream, I had sun burn all over and I think I look like lobster :) So, this sun burn affected my shave also. A friend of mine has a wedding this evening and I had to shave well. I knew that I had to make slow movements and should use the slim in a mild setting while shaving. Luckily, the shave went well with BBS result and lemon cologne cooled my face nicely.

I forgot to mention, I used an spf 30 high protection sun cream, but I think global warming is in this. I didn't use to have sun burn like this before.
